Facepalm facebook fail finds

I've had the passing thought of setting up a scale nerd body for my sportsman rig. It'd be a ringer but I don't have the desire to burn through that many zip ties to hold the whole pro-line accessory catalog on the body.

Seems that everybody is airing every grievance they have now..."C-channels only", "What about my scale beers falling out of my scale cooler not counting for points", "what about course design".

Those that put looks over performance will always feel the need to handicap those that build capability over looks.

Scale beers... awesome. :lmao:

If your scale crap falls off your rig while driving, it should require your Undertaker action figure to get out and throw it back in before resuming.

"a 1" bar glued to your lexan body is not a slider" says the scale guy.
"yes it is, it doesnt specify in the rules it has to be anything more than that" says the comp guy... (i made that up but you get my point)

Sounds like the first year class 3 came along. Remember the "towel rack" on the fender issues? :ror:

"-42 point Scaler"

Yes those are clear wheels...

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

New SORCCA class 1 & 2 rules:

No wrestling figures
C-channel chassis only, chassis must be metal.
Brushed motors only
Servos under 200 oz-in only
3S LiPo max
Must have inner fenders

Discuss.

Also I've never run a SORCCA event yet.

Sounds like they're doing a good job of making C1 inaccessible and making C2 hard to enter as well. Maybe they're getting too many registrants and they want to eliminate more than half of their participants.

What's the problem with wrestling figures? Really, who cares who's driving. Wrestlers need to get places too and I'm pretty sure they do it in vehicles...

I somewhat agree with C-Channel chassis, but what if wanted to box my frame? That shouldn't eliminate a vehicle from C1 or 2.

Seriously, no brushless? I don't think that's fair or reasonable.

That's total BS about a torque limit on servos. Is that to say that in the 1:1 world a tech inspection might consider the power of power steering pump?

3S max? Doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I know they're out there but I've never encountered anyone running more than 3S.

Inner fenders, I'd say mandatory for C1 is ok but not C2.

I've never entered a SORCCA event and rules like this don't make me want to..

I'm mainly just kidding. Additional rules:

Scale coolers must have scale beverages.
You are allowed to use scale shovels to dig yourself out stucks, but they must be held by your scale figure while doing so.
All spotting on courses must be done by using scale figures, while talking like a ventriloquist.
Any rig rolled over must be recovered by another vehicle via winch.

New SORCCA class 1 & 2 rules:

No wrestling figures

Dont understand what that matters

C-channel chassis only, chassis must be metal.

That should close loop holes right there

Brushed motors only

I would like that. Motors and ESC's shouldnt cost twice as much as the truck itself.

Servos under 200 oz-in only

Maybe a little higher toque but your class 1 scaler shouldnt need a monster torque servo to steer. Your truck doesnt need to weight 13lbs in class 1 or 2 ...

Were those real class 1 and 2 changes?

Yeah that was me... over the years, when rules have come up or discussion in reference to scale I have been asked by many members here to express my views as it has always been said I am one of the original scale guys...

My video tells my story, it's long and must be listened to in it's entirety...

I'll be doing another one tonight so stayed tuned

Mike
