I have a couple of those HeyOK winch controllers and they are super easy to set up and the size helps fit them in trucks with limited space. However, after using them for a while now, I feel they don't allow the winch to perform its best.
My buddy and I have very similar setups in similar weight rigs (RC4WD winches run off CC BECs at 6.2V). The only difference being the winch controllers, I have the HeyOK and he has an old Tamiya ESC. My winch will stall out rather easily while his will deadlift the truck and I believe this is directly contributable to his controller being able to pass more amps to the winch motor under load.
HeyOK makes good stuff and the small winch controller is great for making servo winches but not great for heavy use on a scale winch. His 4A relay controller is the way to go for max performance.

Another option is pick up a small ESC to run your winch. The Hobbywing 1060 is waterproof, 3S capable, and can provide all the power your winch could need for $20. This is a great way to go if you have the space to mount a second ESC on your truck.
