In need of traxxas battery connectors.

Like the title says. I am having a hard time finding just female battery connectors. Everyone wants to sell a male/female combo. I do not need a bunch of males laying around.:lmao:

Anyhow, If someone has switched over to something else, I would buy some of your old collection of battery connectors.

Drop Traxxas plugs. They are expensive. I recommend XT60. They are quickly becoming the new standard.

Nobody should be in need of Traxxas connectors. And nobody should be buying their batteries with built in balancing plugs....

Well they are supposedly good for 90 amps. Easy to solder. No shrink wrap to install or forget. Easy to connect/disconnect. Why does something so simple have to change?Plus it's what I have been using And I don't want to change everything over. Used to be very easy to find at lhs.

Well they are supposedly good for 90 amps.

Maybe 90A burst, but not 90A continuous.

Real XT60's and XT90's (90A continuous) are also no-shrink, the 90's can even come in anti-spark form. There's also XT5's which are glorified yet cheap 5mm bullets and are rated for 120A continuous, also no-shrink tubing needed.

If you don't mind me asking , why the xt60 plugs? What's so special about them?

Nothing is. I don't even like soldering them. They seem like they are designed to sweat the wire all the way into the barrel. Problem is that #12 wire frays when I try to melt the tinned wire and tinned xt60 to slide in the conductor. The conductor does not want to slide into place cleanly. I saw several videos where people are just melting wire into the barrel and slipping the wire into the "pot" of melted solder. Problem with that method is that solder is actually a poor conductor of electricity. I don't like using a lot of solder. I like perfect heat and a lot of pressure on my joints. There is no problem achieving that connection with a traxxas. Super easy to get a very low resistance connection. I have never had one fail. I have had problems with dean's...well the of knock off dean's melt the housing.

The xt60s may be great with a little practice. Problem is I don't want to spend a bunch of money on new connectors. I switched from dean's 2 years ago and don't plan on changing everything again for a long time. Maybe if battgo takes off I'll look at the xt60 platform. For now I just need a few connectors.

Don't know how many connectors you need but for about the price of 10 female Traxxas connectors (not the knockoffs), you can get 50 pairs of genuine XT60s.

The genuine ones are made by Amass, they will have the company name stamped on the housing.

I use the XT60u versions (a little more compact to save space on cramped scale builds but still work with all the other XT60 versions) that I got from Banggood.

I hope your all happy. You just cost me $25. I bought the 20 pairs of xt connectors and my parallel charging board for xt60 connectors. I did buy the xt60u connectors. they are the newest ones from amass. Anyhow, here is to a day of soldering. Gonna need some beer.
