Speaking for myself.
VP certainly makes some really good quality products, I have a couple parts myself. However that being said the quality of VP machine work and finish is not the holy grail that fanboys make them out to be. Its good but not their high price good.
VP Monkey, or what ever the name is, comes off like a complete arshat, at least on the interweb of things, and that is a real turn off to their product line.
Mostly though is the arshat, blind following VP fanboy army that makes me wish for bad things to happen to the brand.

Correct me if im wrong but TOM hasn't been with VP for close to 4 years.
The last time I saw him he got kicked out of Cysco Grove for physically threatening the owner and several of the staff with bodily harm. I BELIEVE Tom and VP parted ways not that long after. 2013-14?
Here is the Yelp review that he posted after he got booted from Cysco grove.
I WAS THERE and saw the entire exchange and it was FAR from what he wrote.
Seeing this and now seeing what hes posting on Instagram makes me want to question what hes putting out there in public for people to believe.
Here is his yelp review and again ill say, it is not even close to what went down. So again, it makes me wonder how close to, or if any truth in what hes now saying exists.

I Just experienced the worst camping trip, due to the owner of this poorly run camp site.
We had just arrived today, spent all week getting ready, worked long day during the week so i could get off early on Friday to drive 2 hours to the location. We sponsor an event that averages 100 people every year or sometimes twice a year for the last 5 years. we spend 3 to 4 days, and we are a good crowd.
we get camp set up and then go to visit friends, I was traveling to one of our friends campsite on the other side of the site and driving our little quiet 4x4 4 stroke quad 250 at an extremely slow pace, I was teaching my 7 yo daughter how to drive.
As we were driving to one of our friends site this grizzly looking drunk man, stops his truck and barks to me and my daughter, " are you camping here! "
i hear him but i start to ignore this person because 1. I'm with my baby girl and 2. you don't speak to people that way.
so he says it again, so i stop to see his face and see if he is speaking to me.
i sad yes,
he then says what is your camp site quite commandingly and bad tone,
so i ask him who are you. because really don't want to tell this person anything.
again he says" i said what camp site are you at."
again i say now raising my tone "who are you"
he then says I'm Jerry I own this place, you are breaking the law riding on this road ( his Private property). and I want to know what camp site you are at.
i tell him my site info and continue to say that i have been here many times and have never been informed that i am not allowed to ride this road.this road leads to the camping store and i have riding to this store on this very 4x4 over 100 times, and the workers have seen me and many other people many of those times. People are riding on this road with all types of off road vehicles all day every single day.
he says that i was told at the front desk.
i say i was not told anything at the front desk, and the rules state that i am allowed to travel from the trail to my camp site which I am doing.
again he barks at me what is your camp site.
i again tell him my site, and then he peals out yelling some gibberish at me.
so five minute later, his worker come to my site and says you are being ejected from the site.
huh, OK so i left....
now, if this man had approached me, like a fellow camper, introduced his self in the proper manner, and told me that you are breaking the rules, and why, i don't see any way there should have been any problem, as i am a considerate responsible camper that has been to hundreds of places through out California, this place is now banned due to this man idiotic behavior.
but i am also moving our event to another location, so Jerry the Jerk if you read this, this event will never be held at your dirty, rude, over priced, run down facility again, I promise.

Not much credibility here, considering that you posted antagonizing replies to the instagram post. Sounds to be that you also have axe to grind in this situation. But by all means go post that video to youtube so we can see the truth for ourselves. If not well then I guess we can see your motives.
I don't know Tom from Harry, nor do I believe him or you, nor do I care past the entertainment value.
I also find it interesting that your fishing reel bearing kits are the exact same as Boca Bearings kits offered. Did you happen to come up with your selection on your own, or just rip off the Boca?

He never did me wrong but what he’s doing here is not only criminal but totally wrong. Extortion and blackmail? If you have an issue with a former employer and or partner you get an attorney.

No what I think you did was steal all the spec from the Boca kits then repackage your bearings. You have the same reel models they sell, and its not like your selling super popular models.
Including the Adcock Stanton a 70 year old vintage centerpin fishing reel, with maybe 300 in existence, including mine which provided the specs under the old discount program.
So back to my statement, yeah your credibility sucks, pretty obvious you took boca's specs off there website and are selling their work as your own. Legal sure, ethical not even.
Video, yeah I miss read that, but it isn't much better wanting to put someone in a situation and offering to video it and youtube it.

I have had a hard on for a good deal of vanquish products over time, but i have never pulled the trigger once as the prizes topped up with Danish import fees and customs make 2 axles cost the same as a whole new car, and i cant justify that with my current financial status ( low )
And no one here on the forum never really sold me on the notion that their stuff are that much better than the "cheap" stuff i have from other brands.
So not hating here cuz you cant hate on what you have not tried.
BUT ! the suspecting a company not paying their part towards the collective as you might understand freak out a Dane like me as we are raised up on a strong feeling of the collective.
And its also why i get so pissed once in a while as it seem like a lot of Danes dont give a damn about the collective, personally there are several brands and so on that i would never touch even with a fire poker.
I totally dot get why people buy products from that fruit company, those guys are so creepy on so many levels that their mere existence to me are a insult to all living things ( strong words )
And i hate facetwitt - google and so on are building data-centers here, i really wish they would build them somewhere else.

I tried some Vanquish axles once, the OCP V2. They are in fact much better than the Boom and GPM products I've tried, which appear to be made of a very soft aluminium and prone to stripping if not careful. Is the price worth it? Perhaps. I like them. Just need to buy them from a place which marks them as a gift, so you don't pay duties

So you are saying if one company sells a 5x10x4 bearing and another one sells a 5x10x4 bearing the second is ripping off some intellectual property? Because they both sell a pack of bearings.

Im saying if you want to sell your product as a replacement part, maybe the best way to do it is to go out an measure and size your part yourself.
Not just let some other company do the measurements and sizing then claim there work as your own.

You're reaching waaaay the fawk out there on this one.
Companies do it all of the time. Integy does not make its motors (thankfully), they just slap their sticker on them. The same goes for a lot of parts and pieces, especially when those parts are kitted up to make a repair/upgrade kit.
But, there is a problem when you take someone else's product, change the specs on it, and then sell it as your own, like CKRC did many moons ago with lipo packs.

Thats not a option here, no invoice and the thing will be halted in customs.
But i could then commit document fraud and send them a edited copy/paste of E-mail confirming buy, and i can not rule out that have happened before as,,,,,, well i am a Dane too.;-)
Lately i had good luck with RCmart sending me 10 dollar parcels, i had 5 of those sail thru with no problem, and that's nice when there are 100 USD worth inside them.
Customs.
O BTW just remembered i have gotten a gift marked parcel thru too, containing around 300 USD of action cameras, but that was just incompetence which are ripe at Danish postal just like any other government / public branch.
And i have gotten 3-400 USD parcels with invoice right there for all to see sail thru too, but again incompetence is at play not something you can rely on, it just happen some times.
