Planning on building a wroncho, just a little confused on the links. I've been looking at the wraith links from incision. Will these work on an scx10 chassis and skid, or do I have to use a wraith skid? Or something else entirely? Thanks for the help

I've built a wroncho both ways.

First time with the SCX-10 skid. Requires some ingenuity to get the links set up right using a 4 link. Some guys do a 3 link up front with a panhard. Search Wroncho Builds to get some ideas. I used 4 link front and rear, but had to connect the upper links to the outside of the frame rails to clear the driveshafts. Problem I found with this set up, is the Traxxas rod ends I was using, was rubbing/binding on the frame.

Second and current wroncho I have uses a wraith skid between SCX-10 rails. Heavy modification to the skid, in the form of grinding/sanding the thickness of the skid down to fit into the rails is necessary, as well as narrowing the front of the skid so the rails sit right on the skid. Also needing to re-drill new holes in the rails to line up with the holes in the wraith skid. This way here is also a more stable chassis than using the SCX-10 skid. With this arrangement, I used 90mm Axial links to use as frame cross braces, or you can fab your own.

Below are the examples

Im in the process of finishing up my Wroncho build. I bought so much stuff I could prob make a whole extra scx10 or at least a slider. After a lot of trial and error this is what I ended up doing. It uses a scx10 transmission on a scx10 skid plate with the transmission reversed. I started with a basic scx10 chassis frames, didn't like it, bought a plate to give me more hole options didn't like it, ended up buying a new chassis rails with the built in shock towers and extra holes for link placement. the chassic I have is ok but if I was to do it again id get the plate and chassis combo from TheScaleShop. I have the plastic SSD rear centered axle with yeti trailing arms and a yeti length rear drive shaft. I was able to use a normal wraith axle length in the front. But if you want to use MIPS supershafty makes some diff lengths. I also ended up going with a wraith panhard placement kit from Vanquish this plus the reversing of the transmission all gave me zero issues with link clearance. I only ended up using the axles adapter from the pandhard kit and bought a the scx10 frame mount piece from vanquish. Im not sure if there is a cheaper way to do the panhard kit this is just the way I got it to work. Now for the actual links and lengths I tried so many diff links from the ones I had kicking around and ones I bought . I ended up finding this guy on FB that cut me what ever length I wanted. His page is Hardcore RC, if I was to do this again I would mock it up with cheap thread rod figure out exactly the lengths I wanted and have Hardcore RC cut me the links. im now at the point where Im trying to figure out where I want to mount my electronics and battery. If you want I can get you some pics when I get home from work later.

To save your time, maybe all you need is this kit?

If you wish to use back your existing SCX10 skid, then you may need this chassis easy to work with. https://www.amainhobbies.com/cbe-rc-fab-ultra-switchback-chassis-rail-set-cbecbeultra/p683142
