Got my new scx10ii 1969 Blazer tonight from Lhs. Looks good, body is a LOT bigger than my 2017 CRC Wrangler, a little over 3" longer and 1 1/2" wider. will see how it crawles tomorrow and report back.

Ran the Blazer yesterday on some trails we run a lot. It was very surprising. I didn't try the really hard climbs on the red dirt 20ft hill. didn't want any rollovers. The tires work well in the dirt, not like the 4.7 proline BFG krawlers on the JK but good enough for a rtr tire. Already geared down 1 tooth on pinion and installed a good servo at 270 in/oz. It is a lot bigger than my 2017 Crc Wrangler and you can tell that on the trail. It's not going to be my hardcore crawler just a trail truck, so very happy with it.

Thanks! I was hoping that they wouldn't be quite that wide, but at least I know and can keep looking for something else for my project.

yes it's a really big truck, 3" longer and 1 1/2 " wider than my 2017 crc wrangler

I did, was going to get a TRX-4 sport but thought I would try Axial again ,, Do know seems kinda flimsy compared to my old SCX10 jeep ,

It's top heavy, climbs good once you get past the front bumper , Tires work good . need to add some lower weight ,Wheels would be my first choice, Brass steering knuckles maybe . For the extra money you get a chevy blazer body.

Picked mine up Friday night - my first SCX10 chassis...
It's fun, but not even in the same league as my comp Ascenders.

As has been mentioned, I think it will make for a very fun trail rig. It certainly looks the part.

Anyone that would comp with it will. ;)

So we get to a regional comp this weekend and there are at least 3 or 4 of them - one was a 6yo kid. Yep, mommy and daddy got him a new crawler.
It even already had other scale bits, shovel, extinguisher, etc.

The body looks good out in the wild. Better than Axial's promo photos IMO.

That could easily be Axial's motto - Flimsier than the competition! That's what they've become. You wouldn't know it if you only own an Axial, but if you compare it to a Traxxas, Vaterra, etc you quickly see it.

Yes, absolutely. The spec on everything is more dainty than an Ascender - frame, shocks, axles, trims, bumpers. Even the body is thin. All of the plastic bends very easily - it's almost like a wet noodle. LOL

It's fun to drive, articulation is good, traction just so-so, but no where near what my modified Ascenders can do. And that body - and 12" WB, it hangs up on everything. Approach and departure are 'scale' - reads: drags on everything. :)

Boy is there aftermarket hop-ups for Axial though. Wow!!

The body isn't as thin as the TRX-4 sport. I got one of them today at my fav hobby shop. I do like to start some controversy sometimes so here goes ,That 69 Blazer body does look good sitting on the sport.."thumbsup"

I find it funny how the front body holes almost line up perfectly on the TRX4 chassis. Almost makes you wonder if Traxxas did it on purpose. My guess is that they did in a :flipoff: way

That does look good on there. Isn’t the Axial body 300mm? Still fits pretty well

Just ordered the 69 Blazer from Great Hobbies up here in Canada eh. I just couldn't resist that old school Chevy body. Should run nicely alongside my 2017 CRC Wrangler as well. 8)
