Hello!

New member and pretty new to crawlers (allthough not to rc in general) and this is my first post here so if it's in the wrong place I'm sorry :)

So, this is my Volvo TP21 "Sugga" (meaning hog in Swedish).
Mostly used for trails but I tend to use it pretty much for any terrain :)

Based on a Kyx SCX10 clone chassis
Alturn servo

Hobbywing 80a crawler ESC

Yeah Racing hackmoto 55T brushed motor

Wheels and tires right now are rusted G-made steel wheels with Proline
Hyrax Class 1 for the right "scale look" along with the body

Futaba 3PV radio

Yeah racing winch mounted in the back

Some scale accessories from Yeah Racing

LED-light buckets from Traxxas mounted in the grill, controlled by the third channel on the controller.

The body is 3d printed by my friend, we bought the blueprint for the body from scale3drc. Not entirely true to the original car but I'm very happy with how it turned out! Cheers from Sweden.

Thats certainly a unique Volvo, I've never see one before. Your build looks great!

If you wanted to make the 3D printed texture and imperfections blend in more you might consider weathering it. I've made cheap a weathering wash using a little bottle of water based paint (sample) from the hardware store, simply water it down. A wash with some brown and maybe black would compliment the green.

Thank you :)
I have been thinking about weathering it at some point but for now the imperfections will do, also trying to get some weathering from using it and getting scratches/battle scars

Nice Volvo "thumbsup"

My first car was a Volvo from 1967,,,,, you know which one ;-)

Thank you! :)

Hmm, going to guess for either a Amazon or a 140?

Both my first "IRL" car and RC cars were Volvo's as well (typical swedish..?), real one being a 1998 C70 and RC a Kyosho Mantis FF Volvo S40 which I got in 1998 :)

Tried on some other wheels and tires, Champ from LouiseRC. Lots bigger than the class one Hyrax and not the same level of "scale" but gives the truck a more agressive look and aproach :)

Still like the look of the steel wheels and smaller tires better but fun to try something different!

Decided to try out Hobbwings Axe brushless systen (1800kv). So far I'm very pleased with it! Really smooth and easy to crawl really slow with and plenty enough power when it's needed.
And yes I know that the wires are a mess, I will have it "cleaned up" when I have time for it ;) The fans are not needed at all, just had them in my "good to have box"...
