First Sneak Peek: SSD Trail King - Pro Scale Chassis Builders Kit!

Jun10 will for 45.00 off

Hang up and Drive

Wouldn't that make it $405 + tax?

I could do that... RIGHT MEOW.
Super. Tempting.

*hypothetical question...
So this trail king... Same exact frame rails as the scx10 II. Right?
Vs410 frame kit... Replaces scx10 II rails. Right?

Stop me if you heard this one already?

SSDVP TRAIL MASTER PRO???
Then the hardest choice would be keeping the scale SSD trans or going with the VP VFD?

Am I on to something or did I pick the wrong day to stop sniffing glue?

Thanks
We are going to release a spacer anyway.

There are plenty of other option parts in the works also.

Maybe a stupid question but.....

Space the engine farther forward with a spacer where?

Between the trans and motor or T-Case and tranny?

Divorce T-Case?

Looks like a beautiful bit of engineering.

Thanks "thumbsup"

"Dear SSD, I've been thinking about all the things I'd want in a builder's kit and decided to write them down and send them to..." WHOA!! There it is!
"P.S. I'd like to be able to buy it for no more than..." HEY, spot on!

Great job, SSD, this is for sure on the gotta have it, dammit list. "thumbsup"

Thanks"thumbsup"

Fitting the SSD trans into the VP rails is not so simple and will need new mounts for the front of our transmission.

It's a sensible question.

Between the trans and engine is the easiest. If you divorce the tcase and push the motor forward its not going to work as the top of the front axle is too close.

We already have a simple one which moves the faux motor in progress.

Along with a few more option parts...

I've got to say that it's just so damn nice having the product designer and company representatives from two of these new rigs being present and communicative on the forum!

We are in the middle of a truly innovative and forward-looking time in the world of rock-crawling R/C.

The only thing better would be for a Team Associated rep joining in on the fun...

Yeah to echo what durok said, thanks for being here to answer questions, even the ugly ones.

And also thanks for saying we just need modified transmission mounts to fit vs410 rails on this!

I would guess a new servo mount would be needed too unless you skip the scale engine and are using an extremely short motor like a Holmes snubnose Revolver.

YIKES
good call i totally forgot about that.
hmmm...
yeah that would require some creativity. what do... aside from swapping over to the VFD... then its basically a VS410 with SSD axles. again, not a bad thing?!

too many great kits right now and not enough funding for all of them!!!
really its a great problem to have though "thumbsup"

I would just skip the vs4 rails. The higher clearence rails just dont really get utilized with a regular set of axles. They are more for portals imho. The way the ssd kit comes is really perfect for the trail guys, class 1 guys, and some class 2 guys with maybe an axle swap.

There isn't a better time to be in the market for a kit, hard to go wrong with any of the upcoming trucks.

Such a decision leads to the more pressing concern: which body to choose.

I agree with the above^^!!! My thinking is the wallet friendlier SSD too. especially since I'm not going with portals no need for the higher rails. And still have a quality kit!!! Oh the body is the easiest, that new ramcharger!!! If it gets released!
