The unofficial official axial portal buggy.

Would Capra be class3 Sorrca legal?
Body looks very narrow, maybe too much to be rule compliant. Is there the official measure somewhere?

I pre-ordered parts for a front steering axle so hopefully I can make it a 4WS truck in the initial build.

I've been looking for an official measurement and haven't seen one yet, it looks pretty close though. I plan on building it box stock right away, but ditching the plastic for a steel cage before 2020 when intend to run it in class 3. If it's too narrow out of the box I'll fix it in fab.

I was thinking to do the same. I’d love to stick a Jeep TJ nose on it. Guess that’s kinda ruin the WE crawler aesthetic and be more U4. If it’d even fit right. I just don’t care for the front end all that much.

The front is the only visual part that I really don't like.

Build a bumper with a skid plate. Easy peasy and the look is changed. Grill is the front side if the battery box, right?

Yep, but I plan on doing something about it...

Capra C10

That's pretty darn cool! 8)

Sigh, I wish I had a 3-d printer. 'Course then I would have dive off into the world of 3-d design as well, and I'm not sure if I have the free time needed for doing it right.

I get where you're coming from, but from my perspective on things, it's the front end and the way the front corners of the cage tubing is arched. I'd really have to study one in the flesh for a while to figure out how to change that with something that bolts on but clears the suspension and tires...

Of course it might start growing on me with the passage of time. It's not even out yet, and even one painted a certain way might minimize the effect. Also, aluminum panels could be interesting. For example, I really prefer my Bomber with the different front stinger I got from Desert Rat RC Designs and the aluminum full sides from Carter Fab, and the hood from AMF.
