The unofficial official axial portal buggy.

I was considering a set of Dravtechs for the rig but I will try the stock shocks first. Beating stock Axial shocks is a really low bar to clear so hopefully that's accomplished this time. :ror:

Waaaay more control with dig than just having OD/UD. Add in rear steer as well and it should make for a really maneuverable truck.

Btw can you believe that comp was over 9 years ago?

I remember guys cobbling together dig setups back in the early 2.2 shafty comp days. :ror:"thumbsup"

LOL I ordered from my LHS but still check HH daily to see if it changes to in stock

I know that feeling! :)

They should be in stock as of tomorrow.

Yes! :)

Hopefully these shocks don't need them. Horizon has a history of building good shocks and they know what they're doing.

One of my favorite videos! Definitely not a Capra because that thing is fast, has long-travel, independent suspension! This is what Side x Sides should have been.
Yeah, although it has independent suspension, the way the buggy looks reminded me of the Capra , and it climbs like a goat. This video just showed up in my YouTube feed and it looked cool so I clicked on it

Oh boy, let the fun begin....the Capra ships tomorrow for sure, without a doubt.

I'm looking forward (i think) to you guys getting them.

If you're on FB, check out the Axial Capra page with the Capra logo as that is where i have posted updates to the manual.

Thanks,
Rich

Hype hype hype!!!

Anyone else considering internal limiters in the shocks to drop the rig down a bit? Looks like the stance is a bit high in that last vid...

There’s a link to a quick build video of it, a page back. It looks like it’s standard Tamiya red backed with black.

Yeah I watched that but there are so many shades of red I was unsure which one it was. I like it because it appears to be a bit darker. But that may just be because of the black backer like you mentioned. I was just hoping he had the Tamiya color code to share.

There are two sets of springs included in the kit. That video was probably using the stiffer springs. The lighter weight springs (once they cycle a few times) will settle it down to where the links are about horizontal and will sit where it should.

I could only find three addendums to the manual on the Facebook group.

I hope our preorders are getting drop shipped and don't have to bounce to our dealers first!

I got everything but paint on its way. I had it on my RPP order but decided it wouldn't be worth the 10 day shipping (same state!) I'd be stuck with when shipping paint, so I left it off to get everything else faster. Is there another good source for Tamiya PS paints?
