The unofficial official axial portal buggy.

I have a lot of catching up to do, as I haven't been able to check the forums a lot lately.

Another option you guys can try is the two channels for the 2 dials on top of the transmitter. It'd be more of an analog feel where you turn the knob until it's engaged/disengaged. The HoBao controller that I got with the HoBao DC1 does this for the 2-speed transmission (although I now use the GT3C with it). I'm guessing you can do something similar here with the GT5 if you are having trouble using the ch4 3-position switch and setting those endpoints.

I've joined the GT5 gang since it's cheaper to buy receivers for this than the Sanwa MXV's I've been using for my non-crawlers. I might start using the GT5 for my crawlers and the GT3C for my non-crawlers...

Interesting enough idea that I may give it a shot. If anything, it could give me a physically relative idea of where to set the end points for a 3 position.

Jeezuz it's been out for 10 minutes calm down sheila. :ror:

More like 11...duh!

My transmission is loud. And I have to keep the top screw about 1 turn loose on the spur/idler gear cover. Is anybody else experiencing this?

I only set my dig toggle to locked last night because I was excited that I finally have a better grasp on the 4PK menu system :ror:.

Yeah its really nice to be able to pick up some $10 receivers. I'm still in sticker shock from buying the Futaba receiver for this build.

The spool is going to live a long happy life right up to the first good rollover when those PLA brackets break off and the spool bends.

I think it's a great idea, with a good "first try" implementation. Machine those roof pieces out of Delrin and provide better protection for the servo and it could be a great idea with a lot more versatility than you would normally get from a conventional front mounted design.

Has anybody tried to use the Mamba X In the Capra? If so, how did you get it to fit? The Mamba X is 54.4mm x 32.5mm, yet the ESC side of the electronics tray is only 48.1mm x 33.4mm. The tray is wide enough for the Mamba X, but it appears to be too short by 6.3mm.

Futaba receivers are still a lot cheaper than Sanwa/Airtronics receivers.

For those who've finished this build, what ESC did you go with? I wanted to use the Mamba X (54.4mm x 32.5mm), but it appears to be too big to for in the ESC side of the electronics tray (48.1mm x 33.4mm). Could go work the Mamba Micro X, but then I'm having to focus out where to place the external BEC (as the internal 2A BEC ain't gonna cut it).

I mounted the Mamba Micro X in that tray, why not just mount the ESC in the standard manual configuration behind the trans, in front of the receiver box?

I know the Rx can go inside the "fuel cell", or on the driver side of the electronics tray, but, to be completely honest, I wasn't aware that the exterior of the fuel cell was also an ESC mounting location. I'll have to take a closer look.

Mamba X being ordered.

Can we get a Capra section already? I'm sick of juggling these two threads.

If it hasn't happened by now I don't think it's going to happen. I just don't understand why....

I could merge them all into one and use the 1.9 section

The Violator is in charge of new vehicle sections. Go ahead and PM him, he might have forgotten about it.

LMAO is it bad I wanna be CC'd on that :lmao:

Half of the site in one section? Talk about a cluster ****. LOL

I don't even recognize that user name.

Getting this thing together finally.

Anybody cut the nose off?
it looks goofy the more i look at it with the front over the axle center line vs how the rear is "bobbed".
