with no quit smoking aids, all of my own will. now the year preceding this past month, thats a different story!
smoker for 18 years
so is smoking like an alcoholic, your always an alcoholic, its if your sober or not. am i just a smokless smoker?

Will it take 18 years for your lungs to be back to normal?

And another 18 years for you to be back to normal?

Good job man!

my lungs maybe, me, i dont think i ever was normal!

oh yeah, if i made it this long i'm confident i'll be able to keep it up. its amazing how much better i feel even after just a month. in fact i think i'll even try jotting down how i'm feeling so in a year or so i can look back and compare.

it wasnt cold turkey. i did the patch for awhile wich worked good until i cheated, then it was just off and on, patch, cigs, patch, cigs. then i was on chantix for 2 months which ended up doing it for me. so really its been 3 months with out a cig.

I have just over a month since I quit smoking and feel great about it. Now I just have to get the wife to quit. Only time I even think about smoking now is when I go to the bar and I just tell myself it's not worth it.

Way to go"thumbsup" I smoked for 10 yrs, and then I quit cold turkey 4yrs ago. Once you get over the hump, it gets easier. I even tried to start again once when I got real stressed out....got really sick:lol: ,that cured me forever.;-)
You'll feel better and better as time goes by.
And just think, all that money you were spending on smokes, you can now put into your crawlers:lol:

June 12th will be 3 years, cold turkey too, before that I smoked for 13 years.
can't stand the smell of smoke now but when I get stressed I sure could use one. the wife quit 6 months after me.
gained 25lbs, clean clothes and my sense of smell and taste back(the reason for the 25lbs)
good luck with the quitting, you'll love the benifits
