Harley's TCS X-Trail

any word on when the prototypes will be out for sale?

BTW that chassis is INSANE. "thumbsup"

I'll be checking the store every 30 minutes. I still have the bargain bin as my homepage in case the protos really due turn up there.

VERY soon ..........patience is a virtue.

I'm hoping to have the "prototype testers" available for sale early next week. They should be about $20 or low $20's for the two plates. Just remember these are prototypes made out of delrin and therefore won't stand up to harsh abuse. Full production metal plates will be produced once testing is finished on these.

I'd be willing to be one of your "local" testers with one of the proto's. I don't really do comps, but I can put it through it's paces. Also, I could be the test for WK or TLT axles since I don't have Axial's to put under it.

What aspects of testing would you want to cover?

You will have to make your own skid plate and cross braces if you are not using the Axial kit as a doner.

This rigs is pretty much completely designed around the Axial kit, but of course can be used with any axles.

As far as testing aspects, I think those will come up as everyone gets them assembled and running. If there were any things that we were really "worried" about we already adjusted for them.

Yeah, I assumed I'd have to make all those pieces not having the kit in hand...but that's all I do is fab it seems

Guess what fits perfectly?

whats the wheelbase of your current setup?

With all the stock stuff it is at 11" and is adjustable to 12.5" (still using only the stock stuff). There are 13 different possible wheel base lengths, adjusted in roughly 1/8th" intervals.

Once the Mud Slingers come in I will lower the ride height for a more scale look with the clod body.

clod looks good...do you have an FJ hardbody lying around you cold slap on there...Axial seems to have got the width for the axles perfect...this might be the future of a lot of scale builds...well mine at least...my scorpion will be here at noon!$%#&*@!

I don't have an FJ yet (I assume you mean a FJ Cruiser), but the body should be pretty close.

The width is slightly wider then a TLT but it will make up for it in scale appearance and turning radius in no time!

The Mud Slingers came in today. I went to the hobby shop and all they had were the vintage 5 spoke wheels, so I picked those up for now. I took the rubber spacers off of the shocks for now to lower the ride height. I have some really crappy lighting at my apartment, I will take some outside tomorrow.

I setup the Clod body a little more, I am going to use it for sure.

awesome with the clod body.

i gotta say, for as wide as those axles are they look pretty damn good, both performance and scale wise. keep on a chugin.
