Please, tell us exactly what shocks, spacers, springs, brand of tires, rims, body & any other goodies that you are doing to this build ( like a step by step build). Unless you want to keep some of it a secret:lol:.

I can look at 2WD offroad racing stuff & spot it like many of you can spot this crawling and scale stuff, but I can't yet. I'm learning, but this stuff is even harder to find than my normal off road stuff unless I've got a brand & name to go by.

No problem.

For the most part everything is stock, such as the shocks, axles, trans, links, skid plate, cross braces.

There will be some spacers required for the shocks, these will be included with the production version, as well as any hardware that could be needed.

The tires I am using are the RC4WD Mud Slingers, you can find them on www.rc4wd.com, they are mounted on HPI vintage 5 spoke 1.9" rims

The body is a hard body off of a Tamiya Super Clodbuster.

These are my poison spyder inspired beadlock rings for the Axial Beadlocks. These will match the spoke pattern and give a super sweet look!

Thanks. I love some of these scale rigs. This might just be the one I get. Especially if you include all the stuff in the kit like you said. So on a lot of these scale rigs, like this one and some of the K5 rigs, you don't use springs, right? This would be a droop setup maybe? And I've noticed watching some of the videos that they still climb a trail ride very well (& look awesome doing it). Let me know if I am off base on my observations here.

I like droop setups on my scale rigs because it allows me to put the wheels up in the body at ride height. I ordered 3 sets of shocks yesterday, 60mm, 80mm, 90mm to show everyone several different possible suspension setups as well.

You can run this frame however you would like. The way you see it here is just the easiest and cheapest way "thumbsup"

do you know the relitive price of these if there close to the k2 chassis price ide go with this but if its way more then k2 ilde get a k2

They are fairly different chassis' though. This chassis is just frame rails, Reigns comes with the delrin skids and cross braces. They are great chassis' as well.

Hey, how can I get ahold of one of those K5 bodies already painted like you first had on this thing. I can build, dremel, jigsaw, drill, and cut, but painting is not my bag:x. And speaking of bodies, be sure to show how you mount those bodies too.

I figured I should just to show everyone there are other choices other then just running droop.

I know what you mean, I can't even finger paint.

I had the K5 body painted for me awhile ago (when it first came out). I had Nluvwithxlr8ing do it for me. There are a lot of great painters on the site I know Darkhorse is a vendor, you can contact him. Hope that helps.

do you think the full length scale chassis would compete as well or better than a torsion tlt rig using the chassis that was formerly in this crawler http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39580&highlight=turtle+crawler

i have a xxx-t tranny with max shafts and axial beadlocks with rock claws. i know you have not driven it yet but i still would like your opinion. to save money i may make this my scale and comp rig if it performs well. it will have 2.2 because it will be using a hpi jeep wrangler rubicon body.

Some of the rings will be available very soon, some may or may not be.

The chassis under my body is a pre prototype version. It is actually 1" longer then the long prototype.
