I have done a search and couldn't find a definite answer. Will Purple Power strip the paint off a lexan body w/o harming the lexan? If it does harm the lexan what do you recomend?

-Mike

G'day mate never heard of that stuff but i know Non Acetone nail polish remover will strip the paint and not ruin the lexan.

How i did it was put the nail poilsh remover on a cotton bud, then lightly rubed the paint and it lifts staright off, i allso did little bits at a time and washed constantly with water after every little piece i did.

OK thanks for the help, I going to get a few gallons of Purple Power and start fixing my 4Runner body.

Mike I would be careful, those Kyosho bodies are kinda weird... I had one that I tried to strip in purple power/castrol super clean and it didnt touch the paint...so I tried some brake fluid and that made the body super brittle and it actually just shattered apart.

Ok I'll try a spot before I soak it. Thanks for the tip.

What would happen if you tried to use gas? I painted a rustler that i am not really happy with and had some paint on my hands. gas was the only thing i found that would take it off. I was wondering if you might soak a rag and could possibly get the paint off?

DOT3 brake fluid take an old paint brush or rag and wipe on a good coat let sit for an 1hr then wipe off the paint. Repeat as needed, wont make it brittle or fog the lexan. When your done just wash it with warm water and soap to remove the brake fluid.
Paint it how you like! "thumbsup"

Well the paint is still there. I only soaked one side and now that side cracks pretty easy. I have a new idea I am going to try. I'll share pics later
