I have a transmission that has 2 speeds and a brake. I plan to use the brake as my dig lockup on the output. Will this work?

As long as you adhere to the 2009 rules that state reversing ESCs aren't legal.

wait a tick... (don't mean to steal the thread, but...) you can't have an esc with reverse for 2009 comps?

Not that it matters to me the chances of me making it to nat's is well...we get the point:roll: but i still think it is stupid:roll: but Is there a link to the new 2009 rules? i searched and all that came up was this thread;-)

This is my thread, not yours.....

Back on topic.

Will this transmission fit on my stick?

Just make sure you have the right driveshaft size to adapt to the clod input shafts and you should be good. It is a centerfugal two speed right?

And if you are running a 55t lathe, be sure to set the shift point at 54turns otherwise it will never shift.

54 turn shift point? I'm starting to think this thread isn't real.

Wait, you mean the new reversing tranny I have been testing will be illegal as well, or just the reversing ESCs?

And it's closer to 53 turns if your using the Clod shafts. It doesn't make a huge difference if you were to use a centrifugal clutch though.
