Took apart the rear axle a bit, axle shaft is getting pretty beat...lol.

Put some new bearings in too.
Here is the cheapest I could find for bearings.

Little update, had some nasty noise in the front axle last comp....after inspection...overdrive gears are toast, swapped in some a HD axial set.

I also had a problem with the bearings not staying in place with the Super 300's cvds, so I decided to drill/tap a 3mm hole and put a bolt in to help keep the bearing stay in place. I also put a little groove in the bearing so the bolt keeps it from sliding. I am going to test the setup tomorrow, I will post if it moves after this little trick.

Love this defender!

You need the british plates on that thing to set it off right,i made my own for my range rover.
Thanks sir! British plate would be kick ass."thumbsup"

Here are some pics from a local GTG this weekend.

Sasweeeet man!

The plate wasn't that hard to make actually,i just got a pic of the plate and used a plain white sticker and some markers and some number stickers and stuck it to a piece of styrene.

It's not as nice as a RC4WD plate or any other but i like it and it looks good on my rover.

Finally swapped in the GCM 4link truss and had to make some new rear bottom links, new WB is 12.25". I will be using those axial machine links for my XR10.

Got some Crawler Innovations Dual stage foams in the mail this week. The stock RC4WD foam did pretty good but since my rig is so heavy...I need stiffer foams. The "Lil' Nova 1.9 Dual Stage" foams fit the RC4WD mud slingers very well, I am running firm inners and medium outers.

Lil' Nova 1.9 Dual Stage 4.75T -V2- Foam Pair (2)
Inner Density: Firm Inners
Outer Density: Medium Outers

Re: ♦♦♦♦ Land Rover Defender 90 Truggy ♦♦♦♦♦

I had the Create'a'crawler 1.9 beadlocks on this truck, it allowed my to run zero acherman VP knuckles. But after running quite a few comps with this truck, I felt with the wide offset wheels, it made my pumpkins hang up on a lot of rocks and etc. I swapped in the regular VP high clearance knuckles and my C1 tango downs tonight. The truck is a lot more narrow, can't wait to see what is does on the trails....can't do any testing this weekend....got snow at my house.

the tangos look way better, your D90 needs a white roof though IMO it would look way better!
