Every time I click into these scale builds I become more and more amazed at the realism. You craftmanship and creativity is just top notch! "thumbsup"

Update..!!!!! Finally..!!!!!

Allright, Heres a LONG awaited update on this thing..! This past weekend was the "Great American Jeep Rally", down in Somers Conn. I took EVERY jeep related piece i owned ( real and R/C..!)

Up until this point the "Ultimate TJ " has sat untouched- in my basement covered in dust..well I thought this would be the PERFECT reason to get it up and going.. ( at least runnable to drive it around down there on thier HUGE Rock Garden..!) - After ALL- this WAS A jeep rally..!!

SO I got some radio gear re-installed, painted up the sliders, put some sponser stickers on the side, threw the interior in.., and off we went..!!!"thumbsup"

Heres a pic with my buddy Johns Rock-1 Scaler..!!

HPIM6377.jpg

There was this one Tall rock section in the center of the garden, that nobody could seem to crawl up onto... well after 2 attempts, it just wasn't workin for me either.., SO - I used the "when in doubt-throttle it out" mentality... I punched it, and the HEAVY TJ stood straight up on the rear bumper, and came crashing down backwards onto the roof....thats when i heard the "CRACK"....:shock:

HPIM6379.jpg

After rolling it back over, this is what I saw....

HPIM6380.jpg

The drivers mirror broke clean off.. The fender flare cracked, the actual fender itself cracked, and the orange lense shattered into 3 pieces..!!! Not to mention the Nasty scratches on the hood, fenders and rollbar..!!:roll: I guess thats the only REAL way to break in a new rig ..Literally !! LOL..!!!

Here it is at the end of the day with my real 1:1 TJ, and my 51' Willys... All in all a real FUN day, with great weather, awesome new friends, and TONS of Bad-Ass Jeeps..!! "thumbsup"

very cool jeep, and sorry about the carnage.

LOL- Carnage is what its all about..! Gives me a reason to bodywork, and re-paint it..!!! I still think I want to paint it Pearl Metallic Blue... I'll have to make sure it dosen't take another year and a half for another update..!!! :ror::ror:

I can tell you pictures don't do it justice! That TJ was just plain fun to watch! Hands down, the best one there...not to mention the real deal 51 Willys M38. I got a couple shots myself!
A little distance shot for size....it needs respect!

Good time, just wish I had more time to see the sights!

John

Hey John- Glad to see you down there.., It was also cool to meet Brett, Matt and Brandon too.. Everyone I went with had fun too, granted i was a little sore from driving the Willys for a grand total of 6 1/2 hours round trip.. (with NO power steering OR power Brakes..!!:shock:) - but when it was all said and done.., I'd do it again- In A Heartbeart..!!! "thumbsup"

That is a bad ass rig you have their!!
I would love to see more pics of your 1:1 Willys,,,It looks like a bitchin ride,,oh the TJ looks cool as well!!!

..

Awesome...

I was beginning to wonder as I read thru the thread how many more posts I could go before someone was offering to purchase...

These look so different taken out from under a tiny 1/10 scale lexan body all chopped up, and all scaled out to correct proportion

Looks great, amazing attention to detail there too
