13.1/26.2 Stickers...

Now here's a guy who has earned the right to put his "26.2" sticker on his ride:

The rest of you guys can suck a fart out of my ass....:flipoff:

I had scabs on my nipples for 3 weeks and chaffing in more areas than I'd rather mention.

Damn, now you got me all excited.

My wife recently ran her first half marathon, she trained for months and it was very hard on her, she ran the whole thing and in fact had almost the same exact pace from start to finish. She really wanted the sticker, so I bought her one and met her at the finishline with it and a dozen roses. Call it lame if you want, but I know how hard she worked for it and I'm proud of her.

My second full marathon was ran with my oldest daughter Bracey. It is my slowest to date but she was only 12 at the time! We both cried, laughed, and cussed towards the end but it will be a day that I will never forget. It was a year before little Mollie died and it was the St. Jude marathon in Memphis. We got to run through the St. Jude complex where thousands of sick kids had signs with there familys thanking everyone. It was hard to see all those sick bald headed babies wearing mask thanking you. And then the ones in the hospital windows looking out because they were too sick to go outside. If I don't run but one a year it will be that one.

Good for the people that run them...I never said they were easy (I doubt I could run one right now)...only that seeing the damned stickers on half of the cars on the road was lame.

I couldn't run 2 blocks right now, but my wife needed my suburban today so I'm driving her car with the sticker on it. I'll make sure to wave to everyone else with the stickers like I'm part of the club.:flipoff:

No wave, just a head nod... It's what they teach us along with the secret hand shake

Heck, I could barely walk at all after it was all over. I ran walked the last 4 miles on my tip toes because of the cramps in my legs. I also tore my quad and didn't realize it. Glad it's off my bucket list but distances over 26.2 are not for me. I had scabs on my nipples for 3 weeks and chaffing in more areas than I'd rather mention. I lost 4 toenails too.

Just buy a stick of glide I use it on my legs and nips. It works.

P.s. Your loosin nails because your shoe is to small. Do you run is the same size as you wear daily.

Go a have size up. Feet swell on long runs.

P.s. Keep up the good work. What's your best time champ?

I do use body glide. It was raining and the trail was wet on the 50 mile Ultra race

I size up a half size on my shoes. Again, it was raining and the trail was wet throughout the Ultra

PR marathon is 3:44:17
PR 1/2 marathon is 1:42:58
PR 10k is 46:43
PR 5k is 22:01

I have only ran 1 50k and it was 4:25:38
I have only ran 1 50 mile and it was 11:01:19 in the rain

I wore my band-aids this past weekend... I guess this dude didn't read this thread!
