2 day Trail event for scalers in Marseilles, IL

We've been discussing a schedule in the private NIRC forum.

We don't want to mislead anyone into thinking this is a perfectly laid out full event.

Most of NIRC has never been to the Cliffs offrad park.

I'm just throwing this out there to get the bll rolling.

How's this sound?

9am: meet at R Place and eat breakfast
10am: be at Cliffs and run/find good trails
12pm: be at Papa Murphs to set up camp, rest, take a break and eat if you want to and charge lipo's

2pm: Be at Cliffs for a mini "fun" comp placing flags in spots we found earlier
4pm: run uncharted territory, bash... wing it.
7pm: return to campground to make fire and cook dinner.
8pm: Some people can go back to Cliffs for a night run or call it a night, drink and bs and hang out and just chill. Maybe run the rigs around the campground.

Sunday:
repeat or alter based on what we learn Sat.

sounds good to me, i cant wait. just wish i had more of my trucks together.

Are you guys ready!?

I almost am... all 3 rigs are running.
I need to charge a few of the bigger lipos... the small ones should be almost good to go from my failed comp last weekend!
I need to pack everything tonight... my tools and parts are scattered everywhere after the week of maintenance!
I haven't got any food yet... I think I might just wait till tomorrow before dinner... thinking about a cooler filled with water and lukewarm provisions.

I have a lot of work to do tonight!

I've been frantically wrenching late the past few nights so I could try and get some sleep tonight... and get up in time tomorrow!

I'm totally psyched!
I know I'm going to have fun whatever the weekend brings... well, almost whatever. I hope the rain is done.

You can finish my rig then. I have to figure out how to waterproof the rec and servo still. My sporty is just a chassis and axles at this point. The only one that's ready is my comp. I'll be working late charging and wrenching tonight.

yes, I have awd but about 2" of ground clearance.
As long as it's not too rough, I'll be fine.

Isn't this yours?

ha! I did see a slightly lifted wrx in Evanston a few days ago, it looked like it was ready to rally.
Maybe one day... I can afford the mods!
Till then, I'm looking for an AMC :flipoff:
