2010 Dorkstar Hybrid

Awesome hybrid Ryan"thumbsup"

Curious though, total watts output of your 10.5 motor?

Or running volts and max continious amps. Thanks.

I know exactly what you mean on wheel speed vs usable wheel speed.

In a mud bog or the thick gue, 30mph would be useless gearing, would take a heck of a motor to pull that.

about 12-15 mph is about all I can even handle driveing and still being in control, with a truck that has instant punch.

Can't say enoug about your build. Very cool, low cg, baja like.

Love it"thumbsup"

ouch!! this looks terible!! let me take that off your hands so you dont have to be ashamed!

jk this is one of my favorite builds of all time 8)

I almost cried when i saw this build as i was looking to do something the along the same lines but under a short course body. Something like a pro 4 truck or trophy truck but it looks great and can't wait to see some vid's of it doing it's thing.

I'm not sure what the Tekin system puts out, but I'd guess it's on their website. With it's current setup, first gear crawls quite slowly, but has enough wheelspeed to really tear up mud and hill climbs. 2nd is fast, but probably still has enough grunt to be useful. I'll have to bash it a bunch to see!

Thanks!

why didnt you just buy a roller slash 4x4 it would have costed less than half of the whole thing??? also i may have to steel some of your ideas if its ok with you  great build :flipoff: :flipoff:

There were no "Roller Slash 4x4's" when I wanted to start this build! Plus, I'm replacing all the parts I used on this buggy on my 4x4 slash, and eventually I'll have a RTR Slash 4x4 to play with...

Thanks!

The interior is made by Parsec. Thanks!

Are these made any more? I looked around and nothing, ended up picking up a Tamiya interior off flea bay.

Once again, great build Ryan. I know Traxxas (maybe deservably) gets bashed for making rtr bashers, but its builds like this that show how much potential these parts have.

Parsec's website is down, but they are still in business. Traxxas has come a long way, and their products just get better and better. The Slash 4x4 is the coolest RC car out right now, in my opinion!

I'll be attempting to shoot some video of my truck tomorrow, depending on rain. See how it goes!

I saw a dozen or so of the Parsec interiors hanging up @ Tammies Hobbies yesterday, right next to some Tamiya ones....

Bit of a drive for me, you're just trying to tease me aren't you :D? You ship out of country Ryan?

Got a bit of video today, which I'll be editing together with the rest I'll be shooting in the future. For now, here's a little teaser:
