Alright, it's time to get with it.
She's a little wide for a scaler, so on goes the RPM Rear Nitro Stampede Arms. These reduce the overall width by 1", which should make this truck 11" wide. Tough to get through gates, but it'll have to do for now!
I had to shave the ends of the arms a bit to fit inside the new Traxxas carriers, and I shaved the carriers themselves to allow more droop.
OH boy!
Narrowed the driveshafts, steering tierods and upper links. Using Traxxas grey wide hexes to clear the 2.2's for added steering. I cant run the inner beadlock ring on the J Concepts wheels without rubbage, so the inner beads are glued.
MMM, C drives! The Slash 4x4 uses 6mm outputs, as does the Summit tranny, so the MIP 6mm output must be used on the C-drives all the way around.
The driveshaft barely rubs the left steering bellcrank. With a bit of shaving, and the use of the aluminum upgrade, it should be fine.
Here's the summit tranny and battery set up with the front end. Not sure which way I'll orient the tranny yet...
Proline Power Stroke shocks on:
More to come tomorrow...
Thanks,
