Well this is my first super build. I'm not going to be competing with it as there isn't a super class in our club. I am however building it to be a comp capable rig. Here is the build list.

Chassis : 2010 Superjuice
Axles : Superbully's wide
Shocks : Losi 4"
Wheels : HPI Blast 115mm
Tires : Cut-n-Shut Plowboys
Motors : Integy V11 55T
ESC : Dual sidewinders
Servos : Hitec 7950's
Radio : DX6

Sounds like a killer build! Great choice on the chassis, now pics or your a liar!

Well the first step was to mod the steering knuckles and axle tubes to get some more steering. I used the same procedures as posted in other threads.

As you can see the improvement is significant, gaining about 10*

The Superjuice chassis was very easy to assemble. The fit and finish is excellent. I have the wheelbase set to 17.5". I made the lower links out of 1/2" delrin w/ Revo rod ends. The rear lowers I bent to take advantage of the sloping skid on the chassis. The uppers are 3/8 delrin rod w/ Revo ends. I drilled and tapped the lowers for the tamiya suspension mounts. Heres some roller shots.

The more i see these builds the more i want one. Looks great, would you mind posting up the actual link lenght uppers and lowers. thanks great work.

The BJ looks always awesome, so this one does too "thumbsup"

I'm running Sidewinders in my Super Bully too. They are on a DX6, puh ahh,
that's a tough thing for my motor skills...

Greetings Frank

The uppers and lowers are all 6.75" eye-eye.

Looks nice...how tall do the custom plowboys come out?
they sit a 6.5". After I mounted them up the first time, they really got into the lower links so I narrowed them up an inch. Just doing that gave me a lot more steering throw.

i almost thought that one was mine:mrgreen:

it made me do a double take:-P

so i must say it does look sweeeetttttt!!!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I got the steering all set up. Over the axle case in the front, standard in the rear. I used 1/4" stainless tubing with 10-32 all thread inside, Revo rod ends, perfect fit. It will take a serious impact to bend these things.

That is the best looking set of bully axles and tires I've seen yet.

Great job on your first super that is awesome.

How did you bent the rear link???
How wide is it with tires?

Man this thing is SWEET I have to stop looking at all these super Juice builds or I am going to HAVE to have one :D

Thanks. Used a micro torch to heat up the rod very slowly. To much heat at one time and you'll melt the delrin. Beings its 1/2" you gotta heat it up longer to get it warm deep inside. I made a jig on my work bench to get em both the same. The track width is 13 7/8" in the front an 14" rear. When I narrowed the plowboys i made the front a little narrower to gain some extra steering. Gotta thank Novas Ark for the Plowboys, excellent workmanship. I tried to do as nice a job as Nova when I narrowed them, but its harder than it looks.

Very clean looking. Can't wait to see a video of this in action. With that kind of clearance and sloped rear nothing short of sharpest of rocks will be detering you.

Thanks for the comments guys"thumbsup" I got some Losi 17mm hubs. These slide right on. I just had to drill the hole out for the pin to 1/8" on the hub and CV. I then cut some 1/8" drill bits down to size for some beefy pins. shouldn't break these.

Is it me or do these Bully knuckles just beg for some knuckle weights? Stay tuned8)

knuckle weights

Well I was busy this afternoon, making some knuckle weights. These bully knuckles are the perfect candidate, they have a nice flat section right at the end of them. I got some 5/16" X 2" X 12" plate brass from McMaster-Carr, cost around $25. Then traced my design, cut them out with a vertical bandsaw, cleaned em up with a belt sander. The hole is an 11/16 drill bit. Drilled and tapped a 4mm set screw to hold them on. First time using brass, kind of a pain in the a$$ to cut, and drill. They weight 5.5oz each. I'll still add a little weight in the front wheels(maybe 2oz), rears just the knuckle weights. Well here they are.
