2016 Scale Rules

I don't understand why my driver having no legs makes him worth less points. It's like your saying a amputee is worth less as a person.

Thank you for answering my question about the spare. IMO a driver should be awarded -10 for a spare only if it is changed and run at the half way point on the course. The time eaten up would make it risky. If it is not used. What is the point of having it on the truck?

More rule changes.....BOOO

More rules..................BOOO

I see a conversation at the local level regarding how much of the current rules and" to be released" rules will actually be used..

SORRCA is ruling them selves out of mainstream acceptance if you ask me:cry:

Making a rule set that 40-60 guys will use once a year is a bad idea, just look at comp crawling.

A driver with legs weighs more and is more difficult to fit in the truck.

That would be cool. I actually did that at the MSD Scale Nats 6 or 7 years ago. It was a blast!

Quiet Devlin. The competitors dictate the rules and its unfortunate that we have to add more rules every year. Maybe if drivers thought about that, the rule book would get smaller. Something to think about.....

We have only a request..can we have the new rules before the beginning of the christmas holidays?
Most of us use the xmas holidays to build new cars and buy new items(a self xmas gift..) so if we can have the rules before xmas we can buy/build what we need to meet the new rules and build a better car.
Thank You.

Good question "thumbsup"

In most states in Europe, winter is a season, where because the weather conditions, are seldom used vehicles.
Usually you prefer to build or modify their own vehicles and the first events are organized in early February.

With this perspective, it would be ideal to know the new SORRCA rules 2017 during Christmas time,
in time for adapt the new projects and to spread and discuss the new rules ;-)

This would be great! We've thought of this many times, but it always sneaks up on us. We'll try extra hard to get the rules out by mid December this year.

I'm gonna have to disagree. No disrespect, but the board needs to be basing the rules on welcoming more competitors, not adding more to tame current competitors that build to win. You will always have people build to win and build to the absolute rule limit, no matter how many rules you have. SORCCA would grow a lot more if the dust would settle on the rules. A lot of major scale events do not use SORCCA rules and run there own set do to the lengthy set of rules that is already in place. Persnally, I don't mind the rules, it makes more of a challenge for me to be a better builder, but overall this will make SORCCA do the same thing that happen to comp crawling. Again, I respect the board and know that you guys have a plate full, this is just how I see it from the outside looking in."thumbsup"

Is the scx10-2 getting tcase points? Or does it have to be a divorced Tcase? (Iknow the product description refers to it as a functional Tcase)

Window net in front count as a windshield? Someone is asking and I'm saying no. But wanted to check. This will bump him out of class 1. Nothin came up on a search for "windshield ".

Yes it does get t-case points.

No, it specifically says windshield. A window net is not a windshield. Remove the net and replace it with a piece of clear lexan?

Do scale axles count as any points? I have Currie axles under a jeep to make it more "scale" but do not see any points.
