What constitutes hand formed and fabricated to get custom body points. Is this only referring to scratch built bodies? Can part of the exterior be scratch built? Just trying yo figure out what kind of points I will get for the body I'm building.
Are you sure?
the rules say:
• Truggies are not allowed, flatbeds with full length rail chassis are allowed. The bed must be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed. Cab only not allowed
I seem to remember a similar question in the past ..
with negative results</pre>
I'd count that as a dovetail so legal in C2.
C1 never. Unless dovetailing is now legal in C1.
This is the flatbed I'm referring to. Is this class 1,2 or 3? help?![]()
Question, so say I have a styrene body, it is vacuum formed but is around .030 thick, I was looking into vinyl wrapping it instead of painting it. If the vinyl puts it over .060 and it is styrene, does that give me hard body points still? Not trying to cheat or bend rules just really like this body and would like to get the points since it is technically a hard body.

looks to me like you could cut the doved section off and it would still be legal length for c1. (or damn close) so, as long as the flatbed is straight with the cab to that point i dont see why you cant have anything past that be anything you want.
does that make sense? does to me..
