4 Amp Relay Output Winch Controller

Not sure if this has been brought up, I had an issue with my DX4S when in winding mode, it would pull in and stop, pull and stop. I remember reading somewhere, which I can't remember where, that one of the settings had to be increase. I eventually increased the travel to 130% on the aux 3P channel for the winding in, it now works just fine

Are there any marks or difference to determine if the controller is a "H" version? (I have one with a yellow mark)

I also notice that the "soft start" controller looks different, the winch lead is now by itself on one side, the battery and servo leads are now together on the other side

Controllers with the H option usually have a band of red heat shrink near the receiver plug.

Yes, the wires come out of a different spot if soft start has been installed. There is usually a band of blue heat shrink near the receiver plug.

Those bands are only there when I remember to install them ;-)

I have a Spektrum DX4S and can’t get the winch to function properly. It will only operate the winch in one direction. I can get the winch to stop, but not reverse. Any suggestions?

Sorry to read about the trouble. I will try and help you in a PM.

For those of you playing along at home, the solution was to adjust the trim control for the winch channel until the winch stopped when the channel was in the center position.

Hello! I'm having the same issue noted above. I have attempted to adjust the trim and if I set it to about 30* right of center the winch will stop, but it will only move one direction.
