I was wondering if any of you have used the RC4WD TF-2 4 link kit on the Marlin Crawler. Will it work without modification? How about the 3 link with panhard?

I linked mine a few years ago. Easy swap with no modifications.

No problem.

.... I did eventually get the locked up rc panhard mount. The rc4wd one bent after a lot of hard use. You do have to grind/file down a small spot on the axle for clearance.

My kits arrived. The 4 link worked fine. The 3 link and panhard not so much. Seems someone put the wrong panhard mount in the bag. The holes in the mount don't line up with the frame holes. The panhard mount also has three holes in it. After looking at some close ups of other TF2 mounts, I can see that it is the wrong one.

Finally got the right panhard chassis mount from RC4WD. Going to try it out tomorrow.

My brother broke the panhard mount after a minor tumble, cheap aluminum as usual.

Lockedup RC has a link kit for the TF2 that has beefier mounts. I picked up the front 3 link kit and installed it on my Marlin that I am building up with a 4Runner body.

The mounts that Lockedup RC sells are alot stronger than the RC4WD mounts. You can purchase the full kit or individual pieces.
