Thanks everyone! I still hate the body but in better news, the car came out WAY lighter than I expected. 4lbs 10oz. And thats with over 6oz of knuckle weight on each knuckle. Its a little too much bias but will do for now. It should get even lighter when I switch to SCX shocks, and delrin beef tubes from Creation fab. 8)

Well, the first national level USRCCA 2.2s comp was an absolute blast! The sporty worked amazing. I made a few rookie mistakes and placed 7th, but i let Jake drive it also and he was able to pilot my car to a 1st place finish!

Quick question i have been thinking over and seeing Itty Bitty pics, im hoping you can answer for me. AS this is light weight in design and a Sortsman rig, how do you find the shaved side walls work for you?
In a Pro rig with shaved sidewalls once the tyre bites with use of the dig you can make the tyres bite.
On a Sporty with no dig do you find it better or not as good having smooth shaved side walls with no side biters?
I been wondering would the side biters be needed on a light weight sporty?

Found the picture of this setup.
The current weight with SLW's and lockout weight is 5lbs 2oz. I am really happy with the car at this point. I'm not going to change it until after our State Finals, but after that I will play with lighter setups. "thumbsup"

So, I wasn't going to change anthing on the car except maybe switch to some SCX shocks over the prolines.
But then I noticed one of the chubs was loose. Michael had warned me about this and that it will just get worse and worse.
I had been wanting to switch over to the creation fab delrin splined tubes, but that's not a good fix when I still would have SS rear tubes, so.....
I completely rebuilt the damn thing. So much for sticking with this setup for states (which is in 3 days btw).

So, I wanted to run the delrin spined Creation Fab front tubes, and just couldn't get past the idea of running a heavier rear axle than the front. Plus the whole idea is lighter with weight better placed.
So, here is the weight of my old front axle.
And the newly assemble front axle.
So, thats great savings, I wanted the same for the rear. So I built a rear axle with the Hulksta rear wraith lockout length Ti shafts.
