A new Element uncovered? IFS Conversion for Enduro and SCX10

Haha I know a thing or two about wheeling tiny tire rigs...
I did proline btf 2018 with a 1.55 dirt grabber equipped ascender... And had a BLAST!!!

Dirk thanks for worry buddy but I'm fine. Just been busy with finally getting insurance to finish putting my kitchen back together after 4 months due to a slab leak, plus little 16 month old Tyler keeps mom and dad busy so free time has been at a minimum. As I type he is on my lap slapping my face with his clappy hands toy lol

Anyway... I'm fine, kitchen is done, family is healthy and happy... LETS BUILD IFS RIGS FOR PROLINE BTF!!!!

Gotta say, I kinda miss those days. My eldest is 13, soon 14. Watching that child go through hormone changes is something completely different...

Good to hear from your ever-inspired direction Shinchu"thumbsup"

you can borrow Tyler if you want?! lol
and i have 11 year old boy/girl twins so that's going to - no wait, it IS getting fun in the pre-teen stage haha pimples and un-provoked grumpiness is already rearing its ugly head. overall great kids though, i cant complain. mostly mom's doing ;)
some of you met Andrew at proline, he's at 6th grade camp right now and cant WAIT to show everyone the progress we've made on his chebby ascender at proline BTF!

now what to do with this IFS... hmmmm…

oh yeah, does anyone know a release date yet??

Mid Feb. I'm putting in a pre-order at my LHS.

I'm wondering if these also allow the ring gear to be flipped to the other side like their solid axles? To me it looks like it is possible since the inside of the housing is the full diameter from side to side rather than having a groove for the one side the ring gear is intended for. Any thoughts, anyone spot any clues?

I'm brainstorming a fully independent suspension build using this kit for the front and rear. Dont worry it wont be a crawler.

Someone has mentioned that yes, it can be.

They made it so that you can have IFS and IRS (with some work).

I finally have an excuse to buy the way to expensive proline metric body and 3d print all of the knights customs stuff.

Build will be scx10ii based with this kit

Well, it was the first vendor I'd seen that had a listing for it... I need to get out of the house more! :???:

Haha! I think you're right about RPP being the first vendor to list it. I'm waiting for AE to get it in stock.

I wonder if they will make a version of the kit (or RTR) with the IFS instead of solid axle.

One of the Element guys said on FB there are no plans for an factory IFS truck right now. Maybe if the conversion is a raging success it will change their minds but I wouldn't expect one any time soon.

Makes sense. If people really want it, they’ll buy the conversion with a rtr normal kit. If that takes off, then offer it complete.

Would still love it though.

I try very hard to keep my RC spending to a minimum. So, I like to avoid paying for parts I have no intention of using. i.e. stripping the front axle setup out of an RTR Sendero.

I can be patient. So, I'll sit back and watch, while this IFS thing plays out. If Element's kit is a hit, I do think it could drive other offerings, whether they be an Element IFS RTR, or some form of IFS offering from another mainstream company.
