A Rebirth Of Cast Offs

Thank you sir, for the kind words.. very humbling.. much respect for you!

Any time or anything, I'm here to help and enjoy it..
Can't wait to see ur new labor of love come together! Pics pics pics!:D

Anytime man, you saved me from wasting allot of time and a fair bit of cash. Anyone that takes their own time to help others in this way is top notch in my books.

Well everything is on its way here. I may miss the chassis this week though as the guy that goes down to the US to pick up my mail is going today and will miss the arrival of the chassis and a few other goodies, bummer LOL.

Certainly sucks living in Canada and dealing with shipping to us up here. I got a good deal being the guy I know goes down for his mail once a week or so saves me a TON of cash vs shipping to me in Canader eh, lol.

As I suspected I missed the chassis and a few other parts for this week, bummer man.

I did however recieve some of the parts I needed to complete the axles so I will be finishing them up real soon with some pics to follow.

OK so I am sewing up the axles and working on the RCBros weight holder and weights.

Just as a matter of course what is the average weight most people put on these rigs?

I know I cant get an exact number but a good average and max would be a great help for setting up my weights and SLW hubs.

I'm not sure where but I know there was a thread about the average weight within the last couple months. If I come across it, I'll message ya. Everyone is different for sure. I run 3oz on each side. Some would say that's too much and others will agree to even more.

Thanks man.

Thanks man, just wondering if I should carve out 2 of the 0.250 weights to fit the back side on my wraith knuckles.
After modifying to fit they will probably run in at around an ounce or so. That will let me use less on the front side and drop the width of my hubs.

Got Wicked Monkey Designs working on some skins for me, can't wait to see what he comes up with.

If I actually get off my a$$ today and do something the axles will be all sewn up and have some pics up today.

Axles are finished. Waiting on the chassis. Hardest part is knowing its delivered and waiting but not able to get it till Wednesday or Thursday LOL.

Running 3 RCBROS half rings on each side. Its a perfect setup and im at 3lbs 9oz.

OrK

LOL don't think mine will come in at that light a weight, wish.

Ya I just mocked them up like this to see what I could fit. Pretty sure I won't be needing all this weight on there though.

Well my parts mule made a trip across the border today and brought me home a box of Chaotic Crawlers Love lol.

Thanks to Chaotic fantastic products, fit and finish are top notch. Appreciate the extra effort getting the sliders and the T shirt in there.

Also got the Wicked Ends and jeepindoug caps from Wicked Wolf, thanks man pleasure doing business.

The SCX leaker's showed up as well so we will be doing some bandage work on them and getting them sorted out.

Gonna be a busy little afternoon now.

OK was assembling the chassis and got to the rear uppers.
When I ordered the chassis and links I ordered the ones for the VP link mounts. I have one in the front but not in the rear yet (STILL LOOKING LOL, ANYONE?). I ran into issues with the rear links and the link mount the links are straight and the links and the motor can did not get along well leaving no travel at all.

To make a long story short I had a set of missing link mounts kicking around I figured I was never going to use and came up with this.

It should hold me off till I can get a VP link mount or hell it may not be so bad and hold up for a long time, who knows.

Thoughts and ideas?

My buddy is struggling in the vp link mount dept. as well. I'd like to see you have success with that mod because I believe the door is open for someone to make something similar. Hope it works man!

Would love to see something like that with a better fit and a single point still more in the center and narrower.

Well its now a roller.

Still have some adjusting to do and some finishing up of the rear link mount I have made.

Let me know what looks outa wack, save me some time LOL.

The cab :lmao: JK... To each their own...

Rig is looking killer... One thing you could do is rotate the lockouts and drill new holes so the screws don't catch up on the rocks at all... Doesn't affect it a ton but there's always those little times when it's helpful "thumbsup"

Cab on backwards?

Good idea on the lockouts though never would have thought of it, thanks.
