I'll help ya out:
A berg is a complete crawler from Japan & is made by Enroute or Newage, it comes as a chassis with 2 axles. the axles are a MOA design meaning that the motor(s) are on the axle, no transmission is needed. Most of the people on here use just the axles & use their own chassis design or some one else's(you can search for a chassis for a berg). Having the motors on the axle lowers the center of gravity so it will side hill better & climb a bit beter as the weight is down lower. The neat thing about the berg is it allows a electronic dig to be used so you can have rear dig & front dig, no gears to wear. You can use a switchs(get the right ones & this system is fairly good) & a servo to control the dig system or purchase the Punk Dig System. Do search the berg section as there is a lot of great info in there!
i am a semi newbi but i went with the losi and i love it "thumbsup"Newbi. Been into Nitro RC's for some time with a Revo, Jato and a Hyper 8.5 but am now wanting to get in to rock crawling and was wondering what to get? Looking at get a Losi night crawler or Axial AX10 Scorpian at the moment. Any input would be greatly received.
i am a semi nuwbi but i went with the losi and i love it "thumbsup"
the ax10 is a good sturdy shafty rig, it's biggest downfall is lack of steering. go for BTA(behind the axle) steering with vanquish 0 ackerman knuckles. this simple mod, in conjunction with anything you can do to lower th CG(center of gravity) will be huge. i have an xr10 but still run my ax10 in the sportsman class every chance i get.I just bought an ax10 scorpion.
Dont even have it yet.
Just wondering is there anything i should change or do out of the box ?
New to crawling just crawled my first time the other day on another axial, im hooked.
any info to get started would help.
