anyone ever mod the 3rd channel on one? so it can be used easier for a dig. i plan on gettin one of those servo stretchers to set end points. the stock dial should work with that, but i think a switch would be so much easier

How funny, I am work on this very problem right now. I have the pot unsoldered now & check the res. to see what type on switch & resistors are needed. I will post back with the result's good or bad.

Is there any update on this ?. I would like to know if i could use m8 with a electronic dig on my berg .

The m8 comes with a dial stock just plug in the 3rd chan(dig switch) center the servo..... Connect the arm done no majik programming you just have to turn the dial to which ever dig you want.

Now if you are talking a 3 channel mod well I never found one so i moddoed my dial with lever instead easier to find center.... useing a servo extender for 20$ is worth it and gives you endpoints where as the m8 doesnt have them stock

The sub trim does not work with the dial. You need a Servo Stretcher,http://www.servocity.com/html/180o_servo_stretcher.html from here to put end points on the dial & you can move the center a bit also. I tried to replace he dial with a switch & as far as I know it can't be done as the 3rd channel dial is controlled with voltage & resistence of the voltage is used in the mirco processor & got it wrong & the magic smoke released & the transmitter fuse blew & nothing works after i replaced the fuse & module for the transmitter. Best thing is to buy a DX3R & be done with it.

yup, the dial on the M8 is not a potentiometer. You can't simply replace it with a switch. The dial is a PIA to use for dig, as it won't self center, and the dial has no stops, so you never have a good reference as to where your dig servo really is.

The M11 is more flexible. You can swap the 3rd channel to any trim button, and has EPA's. Little overkill for general crawling though...

Why would the DX3r be better ?.
