Another Jeep build..this time a TJ

looks good man. keep it up. Love the overall look and those wheels definitely set it off =)

Damn either mine looks like the dinky kit or his looks like mine. Thats is a fine peice of machining in the dinky kit! So clean!

Well i saw a GRU so I thought it was the divorce kit with some special bracket lol. Didnt realize it was a HPI GRU.

Dang that k44 looks good up front! whole rig is coming along nicely. Just a suggestion on tires, I'd groove those swampers, for looks and performance. The freak is dying for a set of those k44's. Hmmm...

His divorce set up does work well, I was worried how the hpi gru would hold up but it's surprised me. It's nice and quiet too. I haven't had to tear it apar it after numurous packs through the freak- it's a heavy pig too.

Thanks! Ya plus the HPI GRU is so cheap that you could always just pic up a nother one should one fail on you. Go for it DIRK! K44 that bad boy!

I'll take some pics soon."thumbsup"

The armor is painted, the body is next. The rear K44 is on as well.

Slow but sure:mrgreen:

Man those k44s are nice....maybe I need to get an off center front axle made for my tj. Axial parts all the way.

That's what I was thinking....may be a little pricey for me at the moment. Its roughly $50 labor + parts.

I'm sure its worth it though.

Damn that Jeep is slick!

Beautiful, that Jeep is spot on, great work!

Thanks guys "thumbsup"

Oh, wow... This rig is *really* speaking to me. Love it...especially love that it's not comp cut! "thumbsup"

Thanks Tommy, I do like the fact that this rig is not comp cut either, plus that armor is too cool to cut up or not use.

Did I miss the wheelbase measurement post?

Sorry this ones aprox 9 3/4 inches, around a quater inch under 10".

No worries! Wow this one is much shorter than the softtop. Think my Tj will closely resemble the softtop more than this one.

They are the ssame new bright bodies right? The softtop just doesn't have fenders which is why its so stretched?

Both look amazing.

Yep, both bodies are the Newbright TJ, the softop is comp cut and 1.9 so its a bit bigger looking and allows for a stretch in wheelbase.
