This is almost done.
I need to finish some details in the suspension and sterring.
Then some scale details.
I'll run it like this for a month or so then install the portals, once I make some hi-steer arms for them.
I bought this unfinished from Stick Crawles but it was originally a Chop Shop rig.
I updated some equipment like links, CMS kit, wheels/tires and a VP stage 1 kit. Some Rustler alum Big Bore shocks and Mini LST springs, need stiffer infront.....details.
This is my third Mog build, the first two are still unfinished but atleast this one will be running by next weekend.

It looks cool, but you should paint the spare. :)

Thanks, just a temp spare.

Looking good ! Those tires fit that body so well. How are you liking the performance of them ?

Nice mog,I love mine, and please tell us how those tires do in all situations, the mog breathren want to know.
I'm not to sure the tires will work that good. The fronts are weighted with 2 full wraps of 1/4" hollow core lead rope and stock foams relieved for the rope. We'll see.

Doug are you talking about 3racing portals and adding hi steer arms ?
Yes, I have a few ideas. Close to zero ackerman hi-steer arms.

Love how bare bones it looks. Did you paint the axles? What paint did you use?

Valspar satin La Fonda, primer and paint all-in-one.
Goes on a little thick but dries well.

Went out for a shake down run, a bit early cuz many of the fasteners are mismatched but that's ok. This me an idea of how it crawls and if I want to make changes before finalizing it.

Somewhat top heavy and it wants to wheel stand on steep climbs.
The tires are awesome for straight climbs, tons of traction. They would be even better if I were to flip them out of scale direction. The sidewalls do nothing.

All around, the tire is a great scale tire just don't expect them to crawl like Rock Beast or Swampers.

Approach angle on the Mog is pretty damn good with the bumper height and tall tire. The high COG might fair better with a Dinky divorce kit to get the majority of the weight down low.
If I do this I lose the servo winch mounted up front so I will probably play with all my options first before swapping to the divorce kit.

The shake down run only gave me problems with the MIP shafts popping the yokes off. My fault, I never loctited the grubs and only have single grubs.
Mad steering angles with VP 8* chubs and hi-steer knuckles. I did have to make some 10mm thick hexes for the front tires to clear the hi-steer arms, but that's always the case.

I'll get it where I like it and start on my portal mods which will be badass.
Crawled with Chino63 today and we were bouncing a bunch of great portal ideas which will be incorporated into this and my other Mog builds.
