Another Twin Hammers...:Kit Build:

It fits really well indeed. Look forward to seeing it alll painted up

I have a Chinese Jeep clone body of the Axial keep that fits this chassis quite well, too. Just a thought.

Painted!

The Twin Hammers is such a great little rig!

Why the motor and battery switch? Would be curious to hear about the performance difference and be reminded of your previous motor.

I run my TH’s on 2s. My quickest one has a 10.5T sensored in it and I just love the thing.

I pulled out the 4000kv 4 pole I ran on 2s....
The effenciey of 3 s with even more wheelspeed than before!

looks awesome with that body on it

Thanks rs10man.

Well I need a little help....

I am tired of gernading front cvd's, I break a pin in the cvd, replace that with music wire, then shatter the shaft where it narrows. I only get about four hours of hill climbing and rock crawling out of a cvd set.
Anybody have any solutions? I have no problem modifying stuff, but I am really looking for a drop in solution at the moment.

I might just have to rebuild the front diff as sealed open diff, and use diff fluid. Sigh.

Well that was a few years ago... My solution was to hang the girl on a wall and ignore her...

I have been itching to drive her again... but brushless has too much power for this chassis, besides I have a RYFT when I have the urge to Rock bounce. So I borrowed a Hobby Wing 1080 and Holmes Hobbies 16 Crawl master Sport 540 out of another Rig I never drive... Also threw a Power hobbies 329 up front to replace the slow Hitec. had to customize the servo horn to get it to work but I now have more steering travel and more servo power...

Turning her into more of a crawler less racer....

now to do something about the weak shift servo...

Is your front differential locked? If so, your driveshafts would probably last longer if you opened that differential.

I used Silly Putty to "lock" mine. It still crawled great and I never had a driveshaft fail.

It's worth trying to keep that good 'ol Twin Hammers up & running like it should be.

Yes it is locked. I was running a 3000kv brushless in it before and was breaking cvd's nearly every time out... I reduced power by over half with the brushed combo I put in, so lets see. I do have a couple spares so if I break another cvd I will unlock the front end.
