Im entering my first spud run this weekend and have my own ideas but I thought I'd ask for some setup tips and/or pics of people's rides.

Thanks

Depends on if you are running nitro or electric.

Seal the bottom of the chassis with tape if there are any openings.

WHEELSPEED with decent torque

Also depends on how runny or thick the spuds are.

Where is this going to take place???? At Chill on the Hill??

I'm running electric.

"Seal the bottom of the chassis with tape if there are any openings."

Just screw holes or you talking big gaps?

"WHEELSPEED with decent torque"

I'm planning on running a 27t silver can with my crawlers 2c and axial trans with stock gearing

Hopefully they plan the consistency to match the weather but I don't know what I should expect.

You are correct. I'm sure it will be cold like it usually has been so potatoes might get a little stiff.

I'm using my untested mud truck setup with 2.2 mud slinger's, locked wk axels, k2-3s chassis, and stock wk speed control. I have a mg645 to steer but I'm not sure if it will be enuf without an external bec. Kinda weak I'm sure but that's all I got right now.

I'll be running my Crawler as well after hearing that people have made full passes at other comps. Should be fun and I'm really looking foward to this.

Tlt axles, 2.2 paddle tires, 4.5 turn Novak Bl, on a torsion stick chassis. 3.6 sec
I used Glad Press N Seal for covering the ESC.

Ok. Thanks for the pic and setup list. I was way off. That's crazy wheel speed! I'm going to try and barrow a bl setup now LOL

How important is water proofing?

It's not water proof, but it kept the spuds off the $230 ESC/motor.
I used a simple torsion stick so I had no chassis to drag, only tires and axles touched spuds.
