Any one one here a artist? I mostly just sketch with pen but its a good way to pass time. I seem to come up with the best ideas when I should be doing something else.

Here's a picture I drew at work today. I usually have time between parts to scribble a few things down.

I know its not pretty but I enjoy it. What do you guys draw, paint, or sketch?

Both my parents went to the Cleveland Institute of Art, and I was always artsy growing up, but more of the technical type more than the creative type. I'm also attracted to the arsty girls, but they end up seriously lacking any common sense at all. :ror:

By the way, your front wheel needs to be moved forward a little, it's not lining up in the fender well correctly. Start over!

Haha I noticed that I usually draw my wheels last but I did them first this time and it screwed me lol. I think on the last trail run I bent a lower link

I love to paint, acrylics mainly. Did art throughout HS, did all sorts of painting. Don't care for oils, take too long to dry, watercolors are alright. I can paint just about anything I see. Realistic people are my worst area. Coming up with original ideas is where I struggle, for the most part. I am working on a waterfall painting right now for some friends.

Funny this should come up. These are my notes from my Monday morning staff meeting:

I used to draw alot as a kid and now that I think of it, this is the first time I've drawn anything in almost 20 years.

I write in all caps. Ever since drafting classes.

I do the same thing. I was big into drawing cars when I was younger and ended up taking a drafting class in high school and got more interested in technical drawings and cad work.

I always planned on being a car designer when I was younger but as I got older I liked working with metal more then paper so I don't draw like I used too.

Always thought I would major in art, family business offered to pay for an architecture degree but discovered I was not creative. I could copy anything. If i could see it, I could draw it, but there is not a lot of demand for that type of work. It all worked out as I fell in love with electronics and then computers, so Engineer it was.

i like to draw once in a while...i usually draw to get an idea on paper or as a way to kinda get rid of stress. i like to do technical stuff like designing stuff but i like to sketch stuff and see what happens. here is a few ive done in the last few years. the first pic is the latest i did just last week.

im the same way..i think its called "draftsmen" is the term used for that style of writing...i notice a lot of people who are military or police write that way as well...ive had a few people say i was poorly educated because of the way i write...i just tell them they munch on things of a phallic nature:ror:

Those look great man. That's a lot like I draw I like to do the chassis and then do a kind of ghosted body over it.

I downloaded paper for my IPad a wile back and really like it it's very realistic I'll have to see if I can put some of the stuff I draw on there on here.

I do 3d illustration and animation... been in the field for almost 20 years.

These are the only samples I have on my phone...

I have always loved to draw right from pre-primary schooling. Every alternate page on my subject textbook has had a drawing on it...:ror: not to say I have been punished in school several times for that. I have won several prizes in drawing competitions during schooling.

I usually have a small rough drawing book around to help me put ideas into it. Its all free hand drawn. Later I use a conventional drafting board in my work shop to put the rough sketch into a more detailed drawing. That detailed drawing on the drafting board is then put into cad.

here are a few of my scribblings...
