Artist's?

Draftsman is a trade.

Curious, I looked and found this: Handwriting in all capital: Why people write in block letters | Write Choice

Make sure to read the comments on the bottom.

Now if we could just sort out how apostrophes don't make things plural.

Apostrophes | Punctuation Rules

Artists is plural of artist. Artist's is possessive and would refer to something that belongs to the artist.

I am by no means an artist, but I love to paint RC bodies. I used to sell a few when I was a manager of a Hobbytown for awhile. I use an airbrush, but I can't just paint freehand. My artistry is my attention to detail, I guess. That, and a lot of liquid masking! When the owner decided to retire and close the place, I bought all the Parma Faskolor we had and the rack. Here's a few I've done.....

Just did this for my little nephew's Wheely King crawler. He saw my drift car and wanted a body like it.

That pen work looks awesome. I prefer to sketch in pen cause I can work with my mistakes makes and try to fit them into my drawing.

Don't draw as much as I used to, did a lot of comic style drawing when I was in school (many moons ago) been trying to get to better at portraits, ultimate goal of photo real levels of drawing. Got a ways to go yet LOL

I can draw.

Smiley faces and stick figures are my specialty. Pen, paint, canvas. You name it! :flipoff:

i have a bfa in graphic design and illustration. ive taken classes since jr high on pretty much all the traditional medias. i drew all the time when i was younger. cars, dragons/demons, chicks, all the typical stuff. one kinda unusual thing i used to love to draw was horses.

that being said, i havent really done anything i would consider 'artsy' since college besides my first couple years being a designer for an ad agency. since then ive become a creative director, which pretty much means i make young, punk-ass designers do things they dont want to in order to maintain brand consistency. ;)

Anyone uses electronic media to draw?

I have a Wacom tablet, but not a Cintiq like in the vid. It would make life easier. Drawing on a tablet is not like drawing on paper. I would love to have one, but I have better things to spend ~$2k on. :lmao:

I use Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro, think its the cheapest software I have ever purchased from Autodesk ($60ish) but its whole lot easier draw in and cheaper than Photoshop.

I took art all through Jr and Sr high, tried my hand at everything from pottery to pencils to oil to computer animation (back when a simple wire frame program set the school back a coupe grand and the cheap tablet I'm typing on is more powerful than the PC we used to do it with).

Got burnt out and gave it all up. Turned down a college scholarship too.

My grandmother was a painter, so is my mom. The latter makes a living through selling her work and teaching classes.
