Ascenders assemble! At proline btf 2019!

It rained pretty good Sunday morning, but by 8:30 it was clearing off and then sunny and mild. We left about 11, home by 1pm. Some of the guys had a LONG drive back home.
Very nice time, great event and an outstanding venue. Likely going back out there soon for a weekend campout and drive the rocks some more.

Yeah I left around 8:30 AM and got home around 9:30 PM, but I made it "thumbsup"

glad you all had a blast. its bittersweet seeing the pics since i couldn't be there. my son Andrew was really upset he wouldn't see you all this time.
GREAT JOB on 2nd place!!!! i spotted your rig in Harley's vid next to that mad max Fury rig, i was like "I KNOW THAT GUY!!!"
and i think show n' shine went better than last year (still miffed that stock RTR Dakar rig won) some really nice looking rigs there in the last pic (assuming those were the finalists).
really excited to see the numbers grow from last years 300-ish to 475 attendees now?!? we're gonna need a bigger boat!!!
scale town looked incredible with actual roads. i mean... what the heck is axial fest?!?!

Here's an awesome rail slide that they setup this year. Unfortunately I was limping around a truck with shock towers that had just been super glued back together so I only got to watch Browneye, Codyboy and Oscar hit the slide.

Man, +whatever on the slide! Looked totally rad. Sure wish we could've made it.
Yeah now I'm kicking myself for not risking my truck on the slide, I suppose worst case scenario would have been that I break the shock towers again and glue them again. Oh well shoulda coulda, it was still fun to watch.

Huh this makes me think, should they have a carnage award for the gnarliest damage from the weekend? Maybe a bit silly but there are a fair number of people walking back with busted rigs.
Unless its an Ascender of course LOL, Oscar and Browneye's Ascenders both had a big tumble down maybe a 60-70' slope, dusted them off and continued on their merry way.

Oh, the slide was rad. I went down it four or five times Friday, crawled back up the hill and went again. By Saturday - the main event day, it was dropping rigs like flies - at least half of them fell off. Unfortunately there was a pretty big drop off, depending on where you fell off - lots of broken Rigs.
Renegade Rock Crawlers club sponsored that trail run with the slide - and they readjusted it several times Saturday to no avail. Go figure eh?
And yeah, there's a near vertical granite slab near there we like to try to scale, it's about a 30-40' face. If you don't make it, well...WOW!! I thought sure my Ascender would be demolished - not hardly a nick on it. I sure would have been pissed about a thousand dollar rig though. ;-)
