We're due in 9-10AM Friday - tomorrow. Skipping the wind on the pass this afternoon - wind forecast is gusts to 60. Ouch.
It is pouring rain here this morning, some breeze. I'm about 4 miles east of Disneyland. This is the coolest and wettest spring I can recall here. The good news is that everything is still really green. ;-)

are these the Santa Ana winds?

No, this is a simple spring low-pressure 'storm' rolling through. They blow in off the Pacific ocean.



We get the reverse of our normal on-shore flow of air off the ocean called the 'Santa Ana' winds in fall - primarily October to November, where the wind blows off the desert out to the ocean. It's very odd, they can be very strong, and it blows all the air pollution out to the ocean. But we get a lot of dust in with it, and it's very warm. We can have 40mph easterly winds and 90* temps in the middle of November. But the bay is calm. It's great for boating. ;-)

Poured rain and windy all last night, been raining most of today with some intermittent sunshine. Poured several times today already. Should be there tomorrow early afternoon. Chris, Casey and Ernie please update weather, it’s showing some rain and wind there today wind all weekend.

Ok, set up at site, lots of rigs already here so picked the best site I could for our group! 1400 and sunny, wind right now about what we had last year but I suspected as we get closer to evening it will pick up! It is sunny right now with clouds all around us. Weather says 30% chance of rain about 1530 and tapers off from there. Nate and Paul, load them up and come half way tonight and the rest tomorrow!!!!! I think you should have went for it!!!;-)

There’s dark clouds but no rain so far, its windy but not bad a all, it’s dying down. I set up my tent and it’s still there.
