Thought I'd let some people know that Wal-mart is now selling a set of 4 nylint 1:6 tires for $20. That includes tires and wheels. The tires are massive, too big for TLT's, but people wanting some super skinnies or maybe show tires, there ya go.

Yeah, that news has been kicking around for a while in the Nylint Forums - Tires

But really, it is good that someone posted it in the Tires and Wheels forum as well, for those who don't have Nylints. They've got battery/charger sets for the 1:6 too. ;-)

I saw the 1:6 and the charging stuff. It looked like they were building up nylint merchandise (funny because they only had one nylint truck for sale  )

1:18 tires would sell well for all the VMG and mini LST type guys.

Thats strange, around my area (northern PA/southern NY) the nylints aren't moving off the shelves hardly at all. It is nice to see they are selling parts now though.

I also would like to see some 1:18 scale tires. But, I am not sure if they will release them, since it dosen't seem that they were meant to be replaceable - the caps on the 1:18 trucks are secured with Loctite. Perhaps they could do away with the Loctite, and make the fact that you can swap out wheels and tires a selling point. I like the Claws, but I would love to see new wheels sets with different tire patterns too.

The screw is held on with non-permanent locktight. But they use too much and the cap likes to get hung up. They need the locktite to avoid vibration causing the screws to loosen.

I realize the need for Loctite on the wheel fasteners, but I am referring to the wheel caps that cover the fasteners. They are also held on by Loctite, and can be a bit tricky to get off without scratching them - it seems as though they are not really meant to be removed. I had to grab them with some needle nose pliers, with a bit of rubber between the jaws and the caps. Even then, one was difficult to get off, and got a bit gouged up in the process.
