ax 10 scorpion newb question

just got into the fun of rc crawling. i picked up a ax10 off a local guy, i got a pretty good deal if i say so myself, but after using it a bunch i now have a problem. my axial ax-2 esc is being funny, i turned it on and the programming on it was being funky (beeping and such)so i was playing around, now i got steering forward but reverse is just a brake. just stopped the tires instantly with no reverse, tried double tapping to get it to reverse. no luck. good battery even have a spare engine i hooked up with the same result so im kinda sure its the esc. i tried the forward wait for beep reverse then neutral programming but no luck. im debating on getting the castle link. to see if that is the problem. (still trying to hunt down a good hobby shop) i don't know how it even happened, i was only using it in the house all day and just stoped working once i turned it off and turned it back on. any advice is helpful, thanks in advanced. its weird being a noob again

A guy from the the forum, Saydee, turned me on to Al's Hobby Shop in Elmhurst. It's a trip for me but the Metra stops right there and I found out a couple weekends ago it's not such a bad drive in non gridlock "thumbsup"

It does sound like your esc.
Do you have any other rc's?
If so, maybe you can use them to test your radio/receiver and esc.
I'm not familiar with the Axial radio or AX-2 esc, is it possible you accidentally made and adjustment that disabled reverse?

reprogram your forward/reverse on the ESC.

I may check it out if I'm out that way, I'm mostly Chicago or homer glen though. First rc, 1:1 wheeling to expensive with the new baby how do u reprogram with the link for computer?

IF IT HAS A SET-UP BUTTON
(im not famililar with the AE-2)

no you hold the set-up button befor yo turn the stuff on then turn everything on then let go of button pull the trigger full forward till the light does something then go full reverse till light does something else then neutral.

You guys rock, I actually searched for days before posting and tried this, after I do that turning forward works fine but reverse is still just a brake, it looks like I'm Gona try to link to computer, if that don't work buy a new one, just Gona have to put off building my forth beadlock for the big jeep

Update*

Got my castle link, plunged it in, reverse was disabled,
Enabled it so I'm crawling again! And know so much more about my truck since I took it apart. Thanks again guys
