hi all i just picked up an ax10 and i would like to upgrade,

what are the the recommended kits suspension kits?
right now i am looking at the ckrc stage 2 competition kit, it seems to have the best value.

are there any other kits that have everything for the first basic mods included?

What is "****"? A new vendor that I am not aware of?:lmao:

I would suggest drive you rig and see what you need and come back here to research and ask specific question like, "I broke my drive shaft, is there any better option??"

I agree, go out and drive first. Then upgrade to your likings. Lots of different ways to build an ax10.

thats weird, the vendor is c k r c crawlers.. not sure why it is censored.

i got the kit used, and it is missing the body, and there is lots of wear on the lower links like deep gouges in the plastic.

basically, i would like to upgrade to the lower links to something more durable and since i have no body, i would like to up grade that as well. but i would like to do it in the most cost effective manner, rather than but each part as i go, which i believe would be more coslty...

as for bodiless, right not i have no body, and i really like the way tuber frames/ bodiless chassis look. but that is strictly a visual preference

The cheapest way to upgrade link is to make it yourself, depend how serious and handy you are you can choose delrin, aluminium, steel or Titanium for your lower link, delrin and Al are the easiest material to work with. As for steel, you can use all thread and cover with Al tube or brake line. Do a search here and you should find many way of making links.

As for bodiless chassis, for AX10, depends whether you want to complete, your club may not allow a bodiless chassis for 2.2s. Check with them first. I guess the most economically is to look at the for sale section, there are always good used part for sale. If you do not have enough post count to view the for sale section, pay $20 and buy a star and not only you support our community, it also entitle you enter giveaway and you may win a chassis....
