Axial rr10

I took mine out to run a little before dark. It crawls over my rock pile with ease even with damp rocks. My SCX10 struggles with wet rocks. The suspension movement is really cool to watch. The plastic links on this rig are much better than the ones I had on my SCX10. These don't flex near as much. I am actually impressed with the strength of the trailing arms. They really don't flex much at this point. I am going to run them until they start flexing. I'm sure I will replace them with Vanquish parts later on.

My only gripe is my 5 year old can outrun it. That brushed 35t is SLOWWWWW!! I am really disappointed in how slow this rig is. So, I know what I'm spending my Christmas/birthday money on. I am thinking that I have narrowed my motor/esc choice to a Castle Mamba Max Pro with a Tekin PRO4 Brushless 3300kV Motor. I'm hoping it will give some good jumping/bashing speed and good crawling speed. Do you think that is a good choice?

Overall, I'm very happy with my Axial RR10 Bomber. I don't regret it at all. In fact, I will purchase another one next year for the kids.

All these posts, build projects and vids and still no dedicated RR10 section.Anybody work around here

somewhat of a newb to RC, though we have a couple of stadium trucks. Ordered this as I want something that can cover more terrain. Initial impression is very good other than the fact that it's a definite misnomer to call this a "rock racer" out of the box given the incredibly slow speed.

Ordered a Roc 412 and a castle mamba max pro to breathe some life into the powertrain.

It's bs!!! Create the RR10 thread already, plz. They could create one thread that's titled Axial Crawlers...that would be fun, lol.

I get home the sun is going down but still light. I think I can get a few runs in. Due to rain last night it was a no go. I plugged in my 3s and the little rock pile in the dack yard was my target. I nailed the trigger and was pleased in the short distance to first obsicale up and over no problem. A nice little jump at half thtottle. Bounced and, then it happened. Grinding and wheels will not turn left or right. Tactic makes a terrible servo. I am glad I had planed to install my Hitec HS7954SH servo. Calling Tower tomorrow.
Just glad I am not a kid getting it as a Christmas gift with no backup plan. Time for upgrades.

Yeah when my buddy was building up his Wroncho from an RTR deadbolt, first trip out it fell like a foot off a ledge onto the front tire and shredded that plastic gear in that servo. A little surprised you did it with the plastic linkage though.

I 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th all of the sentiments already expressed, to create the dang RR10 Sub Forum already!!! This thread has too much information about too many different RR10 topics already!!! At 64,000 views wouldn't ya say it's time guys???

Got mine today!

Yeah yeah blah blah opened it started checking out tires noticed it come unglued in spots:oops:

Sooo i threw on some other shoes to get testin!!! Run a 2200 3s thru it with no issues other than sloppy suspension(added sway bar & straps)&removed spare.

Now run it with no mods til failure!:ror:

Click the little red triangle at the bottom of the first post and report it for being in the wrong section. Problem solved :flipoff:

I want , I want, I WANT ONE ! But I did the RTR Wraith and told myself, self don't do that again, buy a KIT ! After one changes out litterly everything, why buy a RTR, I'll wait for the KIT. I can do it, I can wait for it, ....... How long do you think it will be before a RR10 KIT is available ? :ror:
Thanks
Smitty

On backorder at tower again. Hopefully that changes tomorrow. I want to flex pay in the morning.

Yep get the kit.........no wait........maybe a RTR. I have been contemplating which one for a couple of weeks now. The kit will probably be $50 cheaper, now with that said, what will it entail? Better shocks and links? And no electronics of course. So in my view of this, is that I really like the body on the RTR, and to buy that would run $50 most likely, now for the same price you are getting a kit and the painted body for the rtr price. But with the RTR you are getting a shitty motor, a shitty esc, and a halfway decent shitty transmitter. I guess it all comes down to what you want to replace on it. I am thinking VP trailing arms so the kit arms probably wont even matter, unless they are a major upgrade in the kit. So all in all is that $50 kit price savings going to really matter if upgrading the snot out of it.

Cheers,
Wade
