Axial XR10 Kit

Takin' it fast?

Point(less) question...
In the bottom of Axials countdown page on their site, there's a "top secret" note that says "Axial also likes to take it fast".
Well, what were they referencing, this crawler? MOAs can be peppy, but they are still crawlers? So whats the deal? Are they coming out with a fast RC in addition to the XR10 comp crawler? Just wondering about the whole "takin' it fast" thing...?

For anyone else that is looking for preorder help here is your answer. Please be kind and pass this on when asked for help in where to preorder. This site is suppose to be for helping each other not being shitbricks and giving smart ass answers to frustrate people. Remember everyone needed some kind of help at one point or another. If you don't think you did just look back at your first few posts. Be kind and help each other out. It took me almost 2 hours of sorting through the BS to find that only 2 people posted something about their site offering a preorder. So stop with all the smart ass remarks about being too lazy to read and just point the person in the right direction.

These are the only two sites on this thread that are saying something about preordering. I'm sure if you go to your Local Hobby Shop they can run you a preorder. Or you can check out some of the vendors on the site and see which ones are offering the preorder.

Well said. I started here with a huge box of parts from CKRC that was supposed to be a full on Berg Comp Crawler that I laid out $1300 on. I never built a crawler, and was out of RC for like 20 years. I credit the great members of this site and my fellow club members at WPaC for helping me all along the way as I spend countless hours learning and building....Clocking and grinding axle tubes, sorting though all of those bags, etc. Take care of the noobs, we were all one at one time....Pay it forward.

And on a side note....GREAT JOB Axial! This was what the crawling market was in need of. I have no doubt that they will pay for your investment hundreds of times over."thumbsup"

Damn this thing has been out for over 24hrs now...where's the cheap Chinese knock offs?

This looks to be a somewhat innovative twist on the MOA market that I'm sure is going to spur some great inovations from the other MOA manufacturers...I love competition!

.....rock racer......hmmmm

Alex here is one of the sites for preordering. I figured since some are being immature asses about helping others out, maybe I should step up to the plate. There are about 100,000 posts of "I want it" 's and "I like it" 's not to mention all the bs about "if you cann't read I ain't gonna help you preorder one". Hope this helps it took about an hour this morning just to find this one persons post. I know how frustrating it is to try to sort through all the bullcrap sometimes so good luck.

I'm expecting the "why does my fronts spin before my rears?" :lmao:

So what's everyones take on the cutting brakes? I really cant grasp how much benefit if any there will be.

i'm anxious to see how it works- it will be a nice trick to have up the sleeve.

I notice there are few (read none) detail shots of the rear axle-- atleast that I've seen

is it a true brake?

can you brake or freewheel a tire?

does it require an axle-mounted servo?

Will it hold up to serious use? (unlike most axle CVD pins)?

As someone already asked-- can it be retro-fitted tot eh front axle?

I'm guessing that it will need an axle mounted servo. Not sure if you could make it free wheel but one wheel will probably be in drive while the other is locked. Only way I can think of it working is the option kit would have a different spool gear that is split down the middle and the idler gear on top of that is going to be the one that the servo moves left to righ to drive one side. Not sure on my part though. Just a wild guess.

I think Pappy is right with the CORR truck idea. I just hope it is 4WD and not another version of a crappy 2WD. I hate 2WD! :x
