Axialfest badlands 2025

Why is Devwon’s comment a cop-out?
Cop out. These events should have been budgeted and paid for already. They can probably also be marketing tax write-offs.

Why should these things be budgeted?
Is it a tax write off or not? The answer to that question changes things a huge amount and as you put it does nothing for the conversation.

Why should they be budgeted?! Wait...what? Is that a serious question?

i guess now would be a good time to bring up axle feast 2025
brought to you by the team that dose the "no dime by the tire" event we had a huge turn out of "0" people last year hoping for a other banner event at axle feast lol
we might even bring out the easy ups and folding tables for the event the only problem is someone would have to be there to watch that stuff so it dosent blow away lol

Yeah I’m serious. You responded to a well written multiple paragraph comment with broken sentences and probable's.
Let’s hear why you think it’s a cop out. Let’s hear why you think these things should be budgeted. Let’s hear about how they probably could write it off.

:ROFLMAO:

Oh dude, you don't want to start this. Don't attempt to make fun of my "broken sentences" and then use garbage like "probable's".

If you have to ask why a company should budget for events then you aren't ready to have this conversation.

Isn't advertising and official travel a tax write off?

At any rate, I get that it is a customer appreciation event, but Axial's market share really seems to be dropping. Making the event Axial only is limiting the potential attendees. Beat the Creek, Texas Crawlfest, and Proline by the Fire are proof that crawler events can be successful. Maybe it is time for Axialfest to die and be replaced by non brand specific events. Maybe a PLBTF East?

I’m just glad to see local shops and true enthusiasts in the hobby picking up slack to host more events to keep some people happy. You can’t please everyone but giving other options does help.

Don’t start what? I want to hear your opinions on this. Once again you fail to actually say anything about the subject.

As someone that also (recently) started flying (again), I find it interesting that the flying events are still on based on the less than 15% market share that planes have vs. the nearly 85% market share that cars and trucks have combined, with "trucks" occupying roughly 25% of the market. You guys will have to dig for the stats, but these are fairly accurate as of 2023.

I don't know if the venue limitations on size for Horizon RC Fest, Badlands, and Axialfest Euro were an issue. Beat the creek is still on probably because of the relatively high turnout and possibly lower cost for attendance. Joe Nall has over 700 pilots registered to fly. EAA Venture coincides with one of the largest general aviation events, so that is a no-brainer. Many full scale pilots also fly RC planes, myself included.

Based on my experience, you typically have a more captive audience with planes, and people that end up sticking to flight are heavily invested in it, hence it's easier to "capture" them into one ecosystem if that were the goal. That said, I was wise to the game already, and I encourage everyone to get away from Horizon/Eflite equipment as quickly as possible before they have thousands invested just in radios, chargers and batteries that would be of more limited use in other airframes.

This makes sense for a company. If you crash a crawler, you just roll it over and keep going, no monies spent. If you crash a go-fast RC, its a few bucks out of pocket for new arms, and you keep going. If you crash an airplane, you are likely going to need to buy a new one to keep going.

ive had my airplane for about 4 years now crashed it about 5 or 6 times out of the less than 10 times i have flown it lol it actually held up great my freind flew it more than i have untill he flew it in to the side if his truck lol but even that it just broke the propeller mounting thing lol
the new parts are in the parts bin but i dont really have ay interest in it so it just sits

In another life I also used to fly often and had been in a group that flew at an active local airport....not sure how they got away with that.
Anyways i still enjoy getting my Slow Ultra Stick out now and again and the only plane i need right now.

Crashed a plane on top of the building just NW of the field.... Someone was kind enough to climb on top of roof and get the plane back down....it was one of those giant Tower Hobbies .60 sized trainers
