BB51 k5 build off

The Blazer is lookin wicked sweet, but those motors are the shiznit!!! You are really inspiring me (along with Stu's grill replacement) to get into this Blazer build off. Mine would just have the lowly Parma Hemi in it though.

I've been thinking about taking the body off of Green Bean and putting my Blazer body on it. I promised Mrs. Griz that I wouldn't start any new projects for the rest of the summer, but I never said I wouldn't change the ones I already have. "thumbsup"

I think it would look sweet with the wheel center painted black. It would really make the center caps pop.

Thanks Chris,
I think you should get in to the build off! You have sweet scale build skillz, you know Im a fan of both the green bean and Bronco "thumbsup"

Hopefully if the weather gets nicer this weekend, I will be able to lay some paint on the wheels8)

Thanks Mike. We'll see how time goes. Goin' head to head with you and Stu is askin a lot from my skills though."thumbsup"

I think I'd be ok (as far as Stu's rules go) using Green Bean's frame cuz I'd be changing ALOT of stuff and stripping it down to the frame. I hate to use it but pickup truck bodies just don't excite me like a Blazer or Bronco does.

I am sure you will be ok with Stu's rules, I cant see it being possible to just slap the k5 body on the Bean...

so with that said... I am calling you out :flipoff:Get in the game "thumbsup""thumbsup"

I have 2 of these bad boys on the way "thumbsup" made by parma back in the 90s, similar to the hemi but they are chevy small blocks

that looks more like a ford motor with the pans belly up front like that but who gives a crap thats awesome! i have been trying to find a 1.8 scale small block or something or 1/12 big block. thats cool man!

plus, we all know that if I put some TOY power maybe a 2JZ-GE with a greddy single terbs upgrade, you'd all be getting your a$$es handed to you:flipoff:

I wondered why Grizz registered all of a sudden
 Oh yeah, I'm a sucker for a challenge.

You can tell the motor is an SBC because the middle exhaust ports are right next to each other and the distributor hole in the intake is behind the blower. I do agree that the front sump oil pan is very Ford-like though.

mike, you got too much crap. need to send me some stuff so you won't get overwhelmed!! j/k lookin forward to seeing this one completed!

Small update... came home, finished up the front axle on the new juggsterr bruiser but I need to paint it, so thats on hold till sunday probably...in the mean time, I installed some new shocks on the k5, I had also finally got it rolling, WB is now correct. I also decided that since the stock trans mount made for a bad drive shaft angle, I pitched that and the pede trans idea and mounted up an R2...I must say, this is my 1st one and these things are saweet! They are so small...just wait to my next Bruiser project...interior is going to be 10x better then the clone ...wait...opps..did I slip ;-) ANYWAYS onto the k5

WB looks good "thumbsup" and thats the height I want.

I also had a resin hilux repro interior that I hacked the dash up on a lil bit to much...so I snapped it in half, and it will serve as a bench seat for the back "thumbsup" Also had a regular hilux interior, cant use in a damn Bruiser cab, so this will be good for the main passenger compartment

New shocks, I must say these are pretty saweet, internal springs feel good for a crawler or a comp truck.

Mounted up the shocks this way in the back, so I can hack the shock mounts off the chassis so you want see them inside the interior

my small block chevys did come, however, they are big  to big , so its either hack them down alot ooooooorrrrrrrrrrr hope that the engine from this works better "thumbsup"
