BB51 k5 build off

How much do you want for the rest of the model kit? I've been looking for one of the 1/8 Camaros for cheap for a while now, ever since I've seen KC's camaro.

My new engine donar showed up last week, came all the way New Hampshire. She is a real beaut with her saweet 80s 2 tone paint scheme

Mike,
Is that an old nailhead BUICK motor?! sure doesn't look like a 350 to me..... I personally would go for the BLOWER!!

Sorry, its already sold, I pulled the engine and interior late night, just have to get a box for it and ship it to the new owner. Search ebay for 1/8 camaro, I see the kits on there from time to time, but they arent cheap! NIB they go for about 100

Its probably actually a 305 with cross fire injection? The blower 350 is just way to big

looking good. hurry up and get her running.

18436572 just in case you needed to know.

The camaro does look good on there, as beat up as it is  but that trailer usually has my Nao/dave pack f-350 truggy on it.

Heres another update, I got the hood hinged. It came out pretty good. I need to find a better way to cut out the body. Fitting the grill was a PIA too, I dont think I would bother doing that again... I cut to much originally (body actually had ended up in the garbage before even painting it) but I worked with what I had. There is a gap in the middle, so I think im going to try to hide that by making a bug shield.

here are some pics, sorry they kind of suck, it was a PIA as the body isnt mounted still and I didnt use my tripod cause my work bench is a wreck right now  I was trying to hold the hood open, hold the body, and take the picture...wasnt working very well.

Looks like it turned out pretty good. The motor looks like it actually belongs there. Nice detail!"thumbsup" Do you plan on making fender wells for the inside of the engine compartment?

Sounds good! A firewall and a radiator would definitely add a lot more realism to it. Maybe even add a battery and an off road air compressor if u have room. Really cool man. Looking forward to seeing more.:)

Mike you are the siccest!!!!!!!! Definately the KING OF SCALE.

Glad to see you building a chevy. This thing might turn out better than the clone. Keep it up man. It sux I won't be able to see it at MJ8. I don't see anyone else winning the build-off.
"thumbsup"

looks sick mike. for the gap, why not trim the front of the hood to match? you'd lose the gap, and it would just sit a little lower in front... wouldn't be perfect, but it is a Chevy. nothing ever is on those things.

Looks good Mike! "thumbsup" I think I have a corvette model that was 1/8 scale laying in the upstairs of the garage. I may have to dig that out. I just got a set of 1.9 beadlocks so I guess I'll have to start another project. My scaler collection is growing and its all your fault!!!

Thanks Jeff, Im glad you caught the scale sickness "thumbsup" what 1.9 beadlocks did you get? I just got the MSD ones and they are HELLA SAWEET8)

You should make up some of the hood stiffeners so you never kink your nice hood 8)

Are you talking like the under hood support skeleton?
