First, thank you for your service!!

Now bring on more pics... which Airbase, understand it you can not say. Some of my old fellows are over there now to, came back from Afgan last year, seems every other year they go one then the other.

Thanks for serving our great country!"thumbsup"

BTW, I used to work at the composite company that used to make the C-17 landing gear panels. The C-17 is my favorite aircraft!

Good luck and god bless.

nice pics, always love seeing cool pics. Also thanks for serving our country man!! you got any more shots like the first one? Ive always liked the clean simple look of desert.

Thanks for your service! I'm a USMC veteran of Desert Shield/Storm, so I understand the environment. Any pics of the AC-130's or A-10's?

Sorry man No Rah's are out here right now. But soon i will have some rad aircraft pictures... soon.

So while waiting on aircraft we have had very little to do. The coolest thing the Navy has ever done for me is let me bring my bike. It's a great tool out here for easy transportation and entertainment. We went riding in the 115 degree weather today and snapped a few picutres.

Saddam Build these useless bomb shelters in the eighties and nineties.
No one uses them and they have no provisions. They are everywhere.

So naturally I did the best thing I could:

probably one of the only, if not the only people to say they rode a Iraq bomb shelter.

Thanks for your service and come home safe!

And thanks for this pic...I was trying to explain to my girlfriend one day what it was like to fly on military planes with the GSE gear down the center, and everyone sitting sideways. We flew to Denmark like this but it was on C-141's so things were a bit tighter.

The C17's are monsters. The C5's are even bigger from what i hear.

With all the GSE gear strapped down and with us looking at the weights that they have to post to all the equipment it is a little un-nerving. Regardless it was better than any commercial plane i have been on because you can go lay down and sleep anywhere."thumbsup"

Stay safe out there! My unit is almost done here in Afghanistan. Almost made it the whole deployment with no KIA from our brigade until a couple weeks ago, they got lucky and got one of our Apaches, one pilot died and the other was in serious condition last i heard.

the C-5 is bigger. I worked on them when i was in Ramstein Germany a couple years ago which is where the one pic of the c17 nose was taken. i can say i really miss working on them. u guys be safe.

you out there for a IA tour, or your unit out there. I think my favorite one to fly on was the Navy C-40 then the C-9. don't know why but I liked flying in the C-17 better than the C-5, and the most interesting to fly in was the C-130 but most fun I think. I was in the navy for eight years been out for almost two, and looking to get in the Air Force now. if I can get the job i want will either be flying in MH-60's or the AC 130. hopefully helos though cause I love flying in helos, ever since my dad took me up in a Huey. well good luck to ya over there and looks like fun on the bike lol.
