hey everyone. just trying to get some input on comp wheels for my mini. found some different things in the search section but just want to see what everyone is using and the basic costs for the wheels. i'm looking at the wheelworks 1911's and the cac wheels. also, maybe some mayhems. not wanting to spend an outrageous amount but need a great comp wheel. thanks in advance.

Eritex, go for a extra wide off set, then you can mod the steering and get some very useful turning radius decrease ,and if he's running the special they are $65 plus shipping, I have 5 sets and love each one.

I am running the 1911's w/ wide offset and I love them!

I went 1.9 Maximizer. They were like 12 bucks a pair on tower and are super strong and super light weight. (but i am kinda diggin the 1911's Jeremy)

I prefer the Vanquish wheels, the Wheelworks come in right behind them, but I have no $$$ so I can't buy any....yet!"thumbsup"

what is the off set? ya i know that this is kinda a stupid newb question but that is what i am.

I am also a newb and would like to know can someone explain, thanks!

Is there a particular overall width your looking for?

The overall width is effected by the offset of which can be changed by where the hex pocket is placed in the wheel.

My wide offset 1.9 wheels offer a 7.750" overall width. The narrow offset I have provides a 7.450" overall width. Those numbers can be a little different between tires and foam set ups as well. Tires with a flat sidewall and square shoulder will be a little skinnier than those measurements."thumbsup"

There's a picture here.....Wheel Works 1.9 wheels.....that shows the difference in the two offsets.
